I don't remember ever seeing as many conflicting stories and rumors surrounding the team as I have seen this off season. It seems as though every day there is a new trade rumor and every day there is a new denial or conflicting statement from Danny Ainge. It all started with the rumor from the Suns that Danny offered Rondo and Ray for Amare Stoudamire, Leandro Barbosa and the 14th pick in the draft. Next came the rumor that Danny was offering Kendrick Perkins and Bill Walker for the second pick in the draft. Next up was the rumor about Danny offering Ray and Rondo for Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince and Rodney Stuckey. Finally we have the story circulating about Danny offering Ray and Rondo for Rudy Gay and Mike Conley. Amid all these rumors, we have gotten mixed messages from Danny. It's almost as though he has a split personality as one minute he says he loves Rondo and the next he is saying how immature he is and how he needs to work on several things. Here is a sampling of ...

Rondo's Agent is Pissed Off
Rajon Rondo hasn't responsed to the criticism Danny Ainge threw his way yesterday, but his agent clearly isn't pleased: “I am just surprised that Danny is speaking, even if he considers it constructively, in a public setting [about Rondo],’’ agent...
Ray staying put?
While a lot of people have already written off Ray Allen as a goner this off-season, Allen seems to think otherwise:
"I spoke with my side of the equation and for right now there is no desire to move me," Allen said. "We're in a great position to win a championship again this next year."
The proposed trade had the Celtics offering point guard Rajon Rondo...
Rajon Rondo's Agent Responds to Ainge
by Brett PollakoffFiled under: Celtics, NBA RumorsRajon Rondo's name has been appearing in some trade rumors recently, which, on the surface, seems somewhat odd. After all, he had somewhat of a coming out party in this year's playoffs, especially during the Celtics' epic series with the Bulls when he averaged close to a triple-double for the entire series.Danny Ainge...
Celtics GM Ainge Throws Rondo Under Bus…Again
After the Celtics beat the Bulls in an epic first-round playoff battle in April, Boston PG Rajon Rondo was hailed as Boston’s point guard of the future. Multiple triple-doubles (and a series-saving flagrant foul on Brad Miller) in a playoff series will do that sort of thing for a young player.
(Rajon Rondo, seen here being [...]
Rajon Rondo’s Agent Fires Back at Danny Ainge
by Marcel Mutoni
I had an item up on the site yesterday afternoon about Celtics GM Danny Ainge throwing Rajon Rondo under the bus (which mysteriously disappeared into the web’s ether), but no matter, Rondo’s agent is here to keep the story alive.
Rajon’s rep couldn’t understand why Danny Ainge spoke so harshly about his client, and chose such a public forum...
James Harden is the next Paul Pierce
*Reprinted from Dime #49’s NBA Draft Preview*
Paul Pierce isn’t one of those pros that prodigies aspire to be like. Kobe, D-Wade, LeBron, ‘Melo — these are the scorers that every high school and college kid between 6-4 and 6-8 patterns their game after. Pierce doesn’t really work for them. He’s not what you’d call sleek [...]
The Ainge-Rondo feud continues
Not saying there will be a deal tonight (although that Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo to Detroit for Rip Hamilton, Rodney Stuckey and Tayshaun Prince deal was out there a few days ago), but Boston is clearly not happy with Rondo as their floor leader.
Danny Ainge has ripped Rondo publicly, and now Rondo's agent is doing the same to Ainge.
Interestingly, I've heard Stephen Curry...
Celtics-Pistons Rumor Makes Little Sense
Welcome to America! This is your morning! Here is the latest big, bad story comin' down the pike to set the interwebs on fire. From Yahoo! Sports:
The Boston Celtics appear willing to make major roster changes to balance a chance for a championship run and future financial flexibility. The Celtics offered Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo to the Detroit Pistons for a package that included...
Now is not the time
As far as we know, Rajon Rondo is still a member of the Boston Celtics. The draft has come and gone and Boston did not trade its starry point guard to Detroit, Memphis, Sacramento, Phoenix, Tri-Cities, or Real Madrid.
Pistons and Celtics talking trade?
Now this is the kind of thing that can keep the NBA offseason interesting!
Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that the Boston Celtics offered the Detroit Pistons two of their best players but not at a very cheap price. The report states the Celtics offered Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo to the Pistons for a [...]
Rumor Time!
There are a few rumors floating around about the Boston Celtics. It seems as though the C’s might be shopping Ray Allen and/or Rajon Rondo. Now, the Golden State Warriors are rumored to be interested in Rondo, and who wouldn’t? Ray Allen would most likely be a salary dump but Rondo is [...]
Celtics draft guard Lester Hudson in 2nd round
Danny Ainge's long wait to draft a player Thursday night left him tired but pleased that he took tough shooting guard Lester Hudson of Tennessee-Martin with the Boston Celtics' only pick.
To trade, or not to trade
While there have been many rumors floating around that involve
shipping off Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo, does it really make any sense
for the Celtics to do it? It seems like many of us forget that the
Celtics were still the 2nd seed in the eastern conference last season,
even with the injury to KG. Many of us believe (myself included) that
the Celtics would've repeated this...
