  Sam Cassell in Towson? I never realized he was a Baltimore dude. For those of you who don't know, Towson is home to Carmelo's high school and also it's where Elaine's character on Seinfeld grew up. How's that for trivia. Damn, I just checked out Sammy's Wikipedia page. I had zero idea he was a Dunbar dude. This throws my whole world into a funk. It is all of a sudden now very difficult for me to dislike Sam Cassell. I think I need to go lie down.

    If it makes you feel any better, Dewey, I don't think Cassell is naturally from this planet. I think he's got more of a Kal-El / Clark Kent thing goin' on. He was just raised in Baltimore by his human foster parents.

      That does make me feel better. Here's a pic of nearby where Sam went to high school. Probably nothing like his home planet.

    Yep! I remember watching Sam play in the summer leagues in D.C. for a team called Baltimore's Finest which was held at D.C.'s Dunbar High School. Sam was a beast and ALWAYS put up big numbers. Sam had that Baltimore swagger. He's just a true ballplayer in every sense.

  i hope cassell comes to the knicks so i can see ET in broadway for 41 games...Economically it be great he would bring a new group to the Garden, The Science NErds. Who would ask Cassell how life is being of another kind, if he is related to Golem, how Mars is different than Earth or what his extra terresterial powers are. Basketball wise--> Cassell and MArbury would be one of the greatest duos since Marbury and Steve Francis (this duo really didnt pan out as Isiah Thomas had hoped). Anyways Cassell you pulled off a Gary Payton and thank god you didnt pull out a Malone (Jumping on teams to win championships and lost each time).
