It's the obvious question after the Celtics latest tweet.TA didn't practice and is not expected to travel to New Jersey and Hartford for next two games. Here comes the barrage of "who gives a crap?" comments. But we do have a vested interest in him being healthy and contributing. Either he'll help the team with his play (stop laughing)... or he'll get SOME level of trade value. Right now there's almost none. He's just a $2.5 million line in the spreadsheet. Maybe it won't matter. Maybe you could throw him and Scal as expiring deals into a trade and take back $6 million worth of decent player at longer years (would Sacramento part with Beno Udrih?). But a healthy TA gives us at least a chance at sneaking a junk ball past another GM.

Give Rondo's jumper time
I'm already starting to see and hear grumblings about Rajon Rondo's jumper. In 3 preseason games, not only hasn't it fallen with any regularity. It really hasn't fallen at all. So people are already starting up with the Rajon Rondo still can't shoot types of comments. Maybe some of that is our (as in the family of Celtics blogs) fault. We're the...

Sheed Tweaks Ankle in Comeback Win Over Nets
As preseason games go, this was one intense game. The Celtics battled back from a 14-point 3rd quarter deficit and beat the Nets 91-88. Eddie House hit the go-ahead bucket with :30 seconds left. The Celtics then made two huge defensive plays; Glen Davis swatted Courtney Lee's shot out of bounds and then House drew a charge on Lee seconds later.Starting in place of Kevin Garnett...
The Boston Celtics are locked and loaded at small forward
31-year old Paul Pierce might just be the best player on this basketball team. He played in 81 games for the Celtics this season and he averaged 37.5 minutes, 20.5 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. Pierce is the guy the Celtics look to when they need someone to make the [...]
The Boston Celtics are in good hands at power forward
33-year old Kevin Garnett is healthy and ready to rock this season. The Celtics will likely watch his minutes this season but they have a lot of talent behind him which should help keep him fresh and healthy all year long. Garnett played in 57 games for the Celtics last season and he [...]
