The offseason is starting to wind down.  We know Big Baby is about to sign.  We know Marquis Daniels is about to sign.  And we know that much of what the Celtics have been doing this offseason included an effort to trade Tony Allen. That hasn't gone so well.  Now the Celtics have a decision to make.  Buy him out, or try to get one more season out of him. News and Notes on the Davis and Williams Signings

My first reaction when I saw the pictures from the press conference, like most of you, was to notice how much Danny had aged recently. Either he was coloring his hair and decided to go natural, or this off season has really aged him. As has been noted, Big Baby signed a contract for 2 years at around $3 million per year. Shelden Williams signed for the vet minimum which the Globe...

The Celtics are the Team to Beat in 2010

Things looked great for the Celtics going into the 2008-2009 NBA season. Coming off a thrilling championship, the team appeared to be no less poised to win another title than they were the year before. The situation changed very quickly with the injury of the team's most valuable player, Kevin Garnett.

As the Cavs look forward to the NBA tip-off on October 27th where they will be the featured act taking on the Boston Celtics, they will have all too much time on their hands to ponder the future plans of their King. LeBron James has made it relatively clear that he will not sign the contract [...]
