When news broke Thursday afternoon that only David Lee, and not Stephen Curry, was named to the all-star game, immediate reaction in Warriors Nation was a potent combination of disgust, insult, shock and grief.
Yes, the tormented fanbase that for many years longed for a single all-star, was actually pissed off that it didn’t have two all-stars. Come on, you’ve gotta admit that’s funny.
But it just goes to show how much of a turnaround the team has made this season. The Dubs have been playing all season long, especially the past two games, like they belong alongside the league’s best, and the fans’ expectations have adjusted accordingly.
