When Gilbert Arenas was traded from Washington to Orlando last December, he hoped for a fresh start. He hoped some new scenery with a familiar and influential friend as general manager would help him put behind two years of uncertainty for him on the court. It is well chronicled what happened to Arenas the last two years from the knee injury to the suspension for bringing guns into the locker room to getting buried on Stan Van Gundy's bench. When the amnesty clause came up, even Arenas knew his name was going to be called. It was a purely business decision and Arenas knew his time in Orlando was coming up. He would not make his comeback too quickly. When Arenas came back, he vowed, he would be ready to contribute. That time finally came Thursday night when "Agent 1-Zero" made his debut with the Grizzlies. He scored two points on one-for-four shooting in 12 minutes in Portland. Hardly the Hibachi of old, but for a first NBA game in nearly a year and a long summer and...

Video: Chris Paul breaks Marc Gasol's ankles

Rudy Gay Makes A Declaration Via Tattoo

Rudy Gay has a couple tattoos.  Who knew?  I certainly didn’t, at least not until a few hours ago.  “Me against the world,” they declare; “me against” on the right arm, and “the world” on the left.  Based on a quick bit of research, it seems that he added the ink during the lockout.  I suppose he must’ve felt slighted during the Grizzlies’ 2011 playoff run…...

Grizzlies-Lakers Preview

A trip west has not been kind to the reeling Memphis Grizzlies. After being blown out in Los Angeles in their last contest, the Grizzlies hope for a better effort at Staples Center on Sunday night when they try to avoid being swept on their four-game trek by snapping a three-game skid against the Lakers. Memphis (25-21) was competitive despite falling 119-110 at Sacramento and...

The struggling Memphis Grizzlies are in need of a spark and so far Zach Randolph hasn't been the answer. Time to warm up the Hibachi. Gilbert Arenas is expected to make his Grizzlies debut Thursday night when they visit the slumping Portland Trail Blazers.
