Shavlik Randolph is unlikely to see the court outside of garbage time, but that doesn’t mean we can’t take some time to get to know the man.
In an interview with CSNNE’s Jess Camerato, Randolph spoke about his extensive dance background and renown Michael Jackson impersonation:
“I love playing the piano,” Randolph enthusiastically told CSNNE.com. “I love playing the piano and I do a mean Michael Jackson impression dancing.”
As for his King of Pop impersonations, Randolph learned to dance when his parents enrolled him in classes as a child.
“Man, I feel kind of embarrassed,” he laughed. “I took ballroom, took ballet, took hip hop and jazz.”
Looking back, his moves on the dance floor helped him with footwork on the basketball court. He still likes to show off his fancy feet years later.
“(I like) anything Michael Jackson,” Randolph said. “To me, he’s the greatest of all time. That’s something not a lot of people know about me.”
As it turns out, Randolph’s dancing skills ar

Doc Rivers is leaving it up to Paul Pierce whether or not he should sit out a game to help recuperate the pinched nerve in his neck.
According to Boston Globe, Courtney Lee said Pierce has a “get out of playing” card he has yet to cash in.
While it makes sense for Doc to let Pierce sit out a game if he asked for a night off, (it's not like Rivers is going to say, “No...
These are the moments Paul Pierce lives for.
The score was tied, the Celtics had possession and there was enough time for one final shot to steal a road win against one of the NBA’s elite clubs. In almost every similar situation previously, the ball has gone to Pierce, his teammates have cleared his side of the floor and the shifty veteran has gone to work for the inevitable, contested...
Chris Wilcox has shown encouraging signs since his role has become more clearly definedThe Boston Globe’s Baxter Holmes dropped this article late last night on Chris Wilcox and his new, better-defined role for the Celtics since Jason Collins was dealt to the Washington Wizards. (I apologize for the long block quote).Shortly after the Feb. 21 trade deadline, Chris Wilcox approached Doc...
Tomorrow, the Celtics will head back on the road for a matchup with their division-rivals, the 76ers. So far this season, the Celtics are just 1-3 against Philly and 0-1 on the road. Despite those bad numbers, the Celtics have played well recently with two consecutive victories over the Jazz and Warriors. I'm not sure that the C's will be favored tomorrow night, but I do...
Kevin Garnett found Jeff Green all alone under the basket for a layup with 0.5 seconds remaining to finish off a fourth-quarter comeback from 14 points down, and the Boston Celtics beat the Indiana Pacers 83-81 on Wednesday night.
Garnett led the Celtics with 18 points and 10 rebounds and dragged Boston back after they trailed most of the final three quarters. Green had 11 points...
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
“We’ve given him more time off this year than we ever have for him,” Rivers said. “In the past, we couldn’t even brooch that subject with him. This year, he wants the days off. So, I think he’s gotten...
7:36: The Celtics couldn't keep pace with the Pacers in the first quarter. After twelve minutes, they trail 27-19. KG leads the C's with 7 points. They'll need a lot more out of him and Pierce in the final three quarters. Keep watching.
Paul Pierce had 18 points and 11 rebounds, and Avery Bradley scored 22 points to lead the Boston Celtics to a 109-101 win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night.
Kevin Garnett scored 18 points to help the Celtics continued their push up the Eastern Conference standings. The Celtics entered in seventh, but were no more than two games behind the next three teams ahead in the...
Celtics 109, 76ers 101
Avery Bradley stepped into the role of defensive leader and communicator over the weekend as Kevin Garnett (along with Paul Pierce and the rest of the 35-and-over crew) missed practice to rest up in preparation before another stretch of five games in seven days. According to ESPNBoston, the 22-year-old found his voice while leading a practice group with an...

Tonight, the Celtics won a thriller in Indianapolis, 83-81. The C's trailed pretty much the whole game before a huge rally in the fourth quarter. Few words can describe the feelings that we all felt heading into last play. Boston executed the play perfectly, finding Jeff Green wide open in front of the rim for the go-ahead layup. The Pacers couldn't complete the pass on the...

Avery Bradley has always been known to be a knack on the defensive end — whether it is on-ball defending or full-court rundown blocks — but Tuesday’s 22-point performance against the Philadelphia 76ers was a true testament to his demeanor.
Last year in his rookie campaign, he wasn’t able to flourish mainly due to multiple shoulder...
Saddled with a grueling road-heavy schedule, things haven't come easy for the Boston Celtics since the All-Star break.
That's also been the case when they've had to travel to Philadelphia.
The Celtics will be coming off a much-needed three-day layoff when they attempt to end their road struggles against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night.
Boston (31-27) dropped...
8 a.m. ET: The Celtics are in for a real test. After taking care of business with wins over the Warriors and Sixers — wins that should be expected — they drive into Indianapolis to face one of the league’s toughest up-and-coming squads.
The Pacers (38-22) are really good, especially defensively. They allow the second-fewest points per game and hold opponents to the lowest field...
