Found March 26, 2014 on Nets Take Over:
The Brooklyn Nets have had a kind of unexpected season. Brook Lopez, who gained a lot of weight (in muscle) during the off-season as he rehabbed, was someone Nets fan really wanted to see succeed alongside Kevin Garnett and the rest of the new additions.Clearly, that did not work out that well as Lopez ended up injuring himself once again and has borderline become injury-prone over the last two years. Now, he's missing the rest of the season and probably the playoffs. Why? Billy King said in a radio interview on Tuesday that he though Lopez "maybe got too heavy".Just a reminder that Lopez gained 15 pounds due to his workouts this summer and was labelled at 290 pounds.“We’re going to change how we approach him, maybe with his weight. He maybe got too heavy. We’re going to try to modify that, as well, and look at some other things as well to take some of the pressure off his foot.”Foot problems for big men have caused many problems, including continuous plaguing of the gr...

The Brooklyn Nets entered the 2014 calendar year with a 10-21 record, the squad had lost six of seven at this point, with its only win of that batch coming against the lowly Milwaukee Bucks.
