Golden State Warriors center Andrew Bogut will be in the Los Angeles area during part of the team's upcoming road trip to rehabilitate his surgically repaired left ankle.
The team said Wednesday that Bogut will be under the supervision of Dr. Richard Ferkel, who performed the surgery on the 7-foot Australian on April 27. The Warriors begin a three-game road trip at Minnesota on Friday.
The team had said last week Bogut would be out 7 to 10 days. Instead, Bogut, who sat out his third straight game Wednesday night against Atlanta, will be out even longer.
The 2005 No. 1 overall pick fractured his ankle Jan. 25 with Milwaukee and missed the rest of the season after being traded to Golden State for guard Monta Ellis. He sat all of the preseason and played four of the five regular-season games and appeared to be slowed by the injury.

Warriors center Andrew Bogut insists he will no longer even attempt to guess when he might return to the court for Golden State, saying only that he is out ''indefinitely.'' He plans to leave it that way until the day he is running layup drills to warm up for a game.

Here’s the word, Bogut’s ankle isn’t as healed as everyone thought. And now the team has decided to leave Bogut at home so he can take more time to recover. He’s going to miss approximately 2 more weeks, 6 games in total.
Hopefully this does the trick cause Bogut is huge for Golden State.

The Golden State Warriors may be able to learn a thing or two from the Atlanta Hawks.
While the Hawks enter Wednesday night's matchup in Oakland having rid itself of some recent late-game troubles, the Warriors come in still smarting from a double-overtime loss.
The Hawks (3-3) bounced back from consecutive defeats with Monday's 95-87 win at Portland. Josh Smith scored...
