MIAMI Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra called it a positive sign forward Chris Bosh was able to do some court work Sunday, but his return from an abdominal strain is not yet said to be imminent.
Bosh, injured May 13 against Indiana, will miss his sixth straight playoff game Monday when the Heat plays host to Boston in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals.
He just did the next step in the progression of his rehab, Spoelstra said Monday about Boshs workout Sunday on the main AmericanAirlines court. There is still not a timetable, and it was a very light workout on the court. Really more it was a progression of his rehab than it was more of a basketball workout, but I can see how it would be interpreted different.
Spoelstra called it a positive sign that Bosh has been able to get to this point in his rehab work. But he cautioned against this meaning that Bosh is soon to return.
I wouldnt overread into his workout, Spoelstra said. Well continue to re-evaluate him every day. Hell ...
