In an interview with Mary Schmitt Boyer of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland Cavaliers center Andrew Bynum said that he is on schedule to return to the court this season. While Bynum said that he will be able to return, he didn't announce a specific return timeframe, guaranteeing that the questions surrounding his rehab will continue.Bynum signed with the Cavs on July 19, and since then he's mostly kept quiet regarding his recovery from surgery to both of his knees. It was reported over the weekend that Bynum has been working out at Cleveland's complex nearly everyday since signing with the team, but beyond that not much has been made determined.During his first interview since signing his free agent contract with the Cavs, Bynum indicated that he's suffered no setbacks since he began working out in Cleveland in July. As such, he has been doing everything he can to return, adding that he just wants to play."I moved here a week after the press conference, I've been here ever since -- day in and day out just working,'' he said, referring to the team's practice facility. "I'm there, focused. I'm doing everything I can do to get back. That's what all this is all about for me right now. I just want to play."While this is certainly good news, it's still unclear when Bynum will be able to return to action. He's hoping to impress enough with his new team to warrant a much larger contract in the future. Few question his ability, but it's to be determined whether or not his knees can hold up.Follow @hoopsinjurynews

Derrick Rose or Kyrie Irving (Photo credit: AP) The Chicago Bulls had an incredible (and surprising) run last year given their star Derrick Rose didn’t see a single minute on the floor. They made it to the second round of the playoffs where they even stole Game 1 in Miami, before dropping four straight to the eventual World Champions. Another surprise in Chicago last year, especially...
