As you have probably noticed, Kevin Garnett isn't playing tonight against the Bobcats due to a strained thigh muscle and Jeff Green started in his place
According to Doc Rivers, KG isn't expected to be out any longer than one game. This is good news because we will need him Monday when the Celtics take on the Miami Heat.
Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett...
If the Boston Celtics are going to end the Miami Heat's 22-game winning streak Monday night, they may have to do it without Kevin Garnett.
Garnett missed Saturday night's win over the Charlotte Bobcats with a left adductor strain and will be a game-time decision for tonight's showdown in Boston, according to multiple reports.
After Garnett sat out Sunday's practice...
At this point it has been well documented that the Miami Heat and Boston Celtics are not the biggest fans of each other. Despite the Heat’s monstrous win streak, many have speculated that it could come to an end on Monday night when they visit the Boston Celtics for what is always a great game. [...]
Boston leads Miami, 59-53, at halftime with the Heat’s 22-game winning streak on the line, but the real story in the first half was the LeBron James dunk on Jason Terry. Remember DeAndre Jordan dunking on Brandon Knight? Yeah, it’s that caliber.
The only question now is, how long will it take someone to put WWE’s Jim Ross to the LeBron dunk? Hopefully my ass wakes up and hears...
The Heat have won 22 games in a row, tying them for second all-time with the Rockets, who won 22 straight in 2008. The Celtics, meanwhile, have a streak of their own going, winning 11 in a row at TD Garden, where they will host the Heat on Monday night.
But a certain 6-foot-11 player (not 7 feet, mind you) who could be the determining factor in the game may not be available for this...
You haven’t really been dunked on until your Wikipedia page has pronounced you dead, just ask Brandon Knight. So of course, Jason Terry’s page was immediately updated to say “He died on March 18, 2013, due to being dunked on by LeBron James” after he was absolutely destroyed by LeBron during Monday night’s game against the Heat.
In the second quarter of the Heat vs. Celtics game on Monday night, Lebron James had a running start before he dunked on Jason Terry of the Celtics. Check out the video below. The Celtics are up 59-53 at halftime.
LeBron James destroys Jason Terry with a fast break alley-oop jam midway through the second quarter on Monday night. Terry lost the ball before crossing half court and attempted to contest an airborne James from punching home the alley-oop but instead went flying himself and got a post-dunk stare down.

The Heat have a former member of the Boston Celtics as part of their starting 5 this season in Ray Allen. The two teams have had a few playoff battles as of late, so of course there’s no love lost between the two teams. Naturally when asked about the Heat’s current 21-game winning streak, Paul Pierce and company don’t really have much to say about it.
Boston Celtics coach Doc Rivers stated during his pregame media availability that Kevin Garnett will be given the night off tonight against the Charlotte Bobcats. Rivers on Garnett: Well Kevin's not playing tonight, not because it's a night off, he wasn't moving well in practice or today and so we are sitting him. It was later announced after the coach's availability...
"I really don't even care. I hope they lose every game the rest of the season. I just worry about what this team does"-Paul Pierce
I just love this team. No other team in the league is as hardcore as
the Celtics. They don't care about being liked and what other teams/fans think of them. They embrace the rivalry they have with the Heat and
don't try to suck...
Thanks to 8 first half turnovers that led to 13 Charlotte points, the Celtics could not put distance between themselves and the ‘Cats early. Boston went into halftime up 50-43. But the guys in green turned it up another notch on both sides of the ball to blow the game open and cruise through most of the 3rd and 4th. Chuck’s prediction was almost dead-on, as Boston wins 108-95...
Five years ago to the day the Celtics were facing a Houston Rockets team that put together an unlikely 22-game win streak, good for second best in NBA history. The night before, they had come back from being down 20-plus points against the Spurs in San Antonio. In one of his first games as a Celtic, Sam Cassell hit a clutch jumper late in the game to seal the win.
A tired Celtics...
