For Christmas, at least, the Celtics played well. Jared Sullinger solidified himself as my hero, Rajon Rondo continued to show more aggression as a scorer, Gerald Wallace may or may not have wanted to brawl, Deron Williams (and Joe Johnson) used to be a lot better, and I don’t know if I said this before, but Sullinger’s my hero.I would write more, but I’m going to see Les Miserables with the family. Plus, I still have tears in my eyes from watching It’s A Wonderful Life last night, a King brothers tradition. Which reminds me: Avery Bradley’s kind of like George Bailey right now, getting to see what the Celtics are like without him (and the results, for the most part, despite today’s nice win, haven’t been pretty).Bradley’s set for a January 2 return. Merry Christmas, everyone. Hee-haw.

I'd say most people probably have Rajon Rondo and Kevin Garnett on their ballots, but I'm not sure the other three have came up in reports of being high in the voting. Honestly, Paul Pierce deserves to be up there. Either way, this is an awesome...
The biggest body that left the biggest impression? Celtics rookie Jared Sullinger.
“Jared was wonderful,” said coach Doc Rivers. “He’s such a smart player. When you watch him, you don’t see rookie. You just see a big fat guy playing basketball.”
Rivers smiled broadly as he made the remark, reflecting on Sullinger’s contributions to Boston’s 93-76 victory.

Rajon Rondo scored 19 points in his first full game against Brooklyn this season, and the Boston Celtics beat the Nets 93-76 on Tuesday in another game with some heated moments between the division rivals.
Rondo, hurt in the first meeting and thrown out of the second after shoving Nets forward Kris Humphries into the courtside seats, outplayed counterpart Deron Williams and helped...
ALL HE CAN STANDS
With the Brooklyn Nets struggling as of late, Gerald Wallace has taken issue with how his teammates are responding to the slide and made his feelings known.
“Jared was wonderful. He’s such a smart player. When you watch him, you don’t see rookie. You just see a big fat guy playing basketball.” Big fan of Doc Rivers. Loved him even more when he was the color commentator on ESPN prior to taking the Boston Celtics job. He is candid, and insightful. And [...]
NEW YORK -- Rajon Rondo keyed a balanced attack with 19 points and rookie Jared Sullinger added 16 points and seven rebounds off the bench, leading the Boston Celtics to a relatively easy 93-76 victory over the Brooklyn Nets in a Christmas Day matinee at Barclays Center. The victory was just the second in the last six games for the Celtics (14-13), who climbed above .500 again...
Hopefully the Celtics aren’t sensitive about their weight. Because Doc Rivers certainly doesn’t care.
The Celtics’ coach complimented rookie forward Jared Sullinger, and then called him fat. This backhanded compliment came after Sullinger had a career-day on Christmas, going six-for-seven shooting with 16 points and seven rebounds.
“Jared was wonderful. He’s such a smart...
Brandon Jennings and Rajon Rondo likely won’t be exchanging Christmas presents anytime soon, but they were exchanging unpleasentries on Friday night, which almost led to a fight.
The Bucks’ point guard said he almost fought Rondo, but had second thoughts because of the fines he would incur. Rondo bumped Jennings during the first quarter, and the two had some words.
The Celtics score an impressive 93-76 win over the Nets in Brooklyn on Christmas Day. Boston was in quite the battle for most of the 1st half, but pulled away in the end behind some great defense and a total team effort. Rajon Rondo led all-scorers with 19 points to go along with 5 assists & 6 boards. More importantly, he only had 1 turnover and 3 steals. Although the key scorers...
Gerald Wallace‘s gift for Kevin Garnett this Christmas came in the form of a fistful of shorts — a present KG wasn’t too thrilled to receive.
Wallace and Garnett had a rather heated exchange during the fourth quarter of Tuesday’s matinee clash between the Nets and Celtics. Garnett tried to hold Wallace up after the Brooklyn forward was fouled in the paint, but instead of...

A very nice Christmas gift almost turned into nightmare, yet the Celtics turned things around on Rondo's 19-5-5 performance and several key plays as they beat the Nets on the first game of the road trip. It wouldn't be fair to the rest of the team to highlight Rondo though. It was a great team performance as 4 players scored in double digits, and...

With a curiosity around the state of the Boston Celtics (14-13), Doc River’s made a statement in dominating fashion finishing the Brooklyn Nets (14-13) this time around 93-76.
Leading scorers not needed:
Recently, games would be around the name Paul Pierce, but Tuesday’s performance was behind rookie Jared Sullinger aka “big fat...
In the 4th quarter of today's Boston Celtics-Brooklyn Nets game, Kevin Garnett and Gerald Wallace along with Courtney Lee and Andray Blatche both received double technical fouls when Wallace grabbed Garnett's shorts, resulting in a small altercation (video of the incident can be viewed here).
In the video above, the Comcast Sports Net New England commentators as well as...
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
There was a time not too long ago when 22 wins constituted a season’s haul for the Clippers. They already have that many — and it’s not even the new year. They haven’t lost since Nov. 26, when they dropped...
The Nets had much higher hopes for their inaugural season in Brooklyn. With a current record of 14-14 and locker room mumblings from Deron Williams saying that he was used to being coached a different way. Plus Gerald Wallace calling his teammates out about their attitude during the losing streak. The Nets have announced the [...]
