The Boston Celtics arrived at the Prudential Center 60 minutes before their game with the New Jersey Nets, almost as if they were readying for an AAU game rather than an actual Atlantic Division competition. Regardless of how little time their 86-minute bus ride afforded them during pregame at the Prudential Center, the Celtics took care of business against their latest sub-.500 opponent, the New Jersey Nets.

If you expected the Celtics to repeat last night’s half-assed performance, you were sorely mistaken, even if the Celtics took a full quarter before they pushed into the next gear and left the under-manned Nets in their wake. Kevin Garnett continues to be a monster, Avery Bradley unexpectedly drained three triples, Rajon Rondo reaches double-digit assists regardless of the circumstances, Brandon Bass seems to be hitting his stride, the Celtics dominated the glass, and just in case you missed Gerald Green, he pitched in 15 points for the Nets while draining an array of contested jump shots.

A solid win, which — if you forget about last night’s debacle in Toronto — seems to be the theme.
