After playing a while for a team in China and then signing a short 10 day contract with the Boston Celtics, Terrence Williams can finally breathe easy. The Celtics have agreed to a multi-year deal with the former Louisville swingman.
In the 4 games that Williams played for the Celtics he averaged 3.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.5 assists. He was loved by the Celtics fan base for his court vision and ability to make good decisions. Doc Rivers also was praised Williams for his non selfish style of play.
With the Celtics in the injury trouble that they are currently in, Williams could play a major role coming off of the bench. Rajon Rondo, Leandro Barbosa and Jared Sullinger are all out for the season at this point. You can expect Williams to get more minutes now that he has a bigger contract because obviously the front office saw some kind of use in him.
Hopefully Williams will do it right this time and turn this into a career reviving event. If Williams gets minutes, I truly believe that he can play a big role on a team just like he did back when he lead Louisville to the #1 overall seed in the NCAA tournament.
Here are some highlights of Williams with the Celtics:

When former Louisville star Terrence Williams’ 10-day contract with the Boston Celtics came to an end on Thursday, there was an unexpected delay on what the outcome would be. Fortunately for Williams the delay was for good reason.

As John wrote earlier today, Doc Rivers, Paul Pierce, Jet & KG were all absent from today’s workout. So who kept things organized while the vets & head coach were away? As Chris Forsberg tells us, it was none other than “Zero Tolerance”:
Rajon Rondo is off rehabbing an ACL injury and the practice floor featured nearly as many newcomers (4) as guys who started the season...
In the rich and glorious tradition of the Boston Celtics, where they have won the most NBA titles in league history, it may come as a surprise as to how subpar the franchise's ability has been to acquire a top free agent. I had the discussion recently and it seems all the Celtics' top players of all time were acquired via a trade or the draft.
In researching the candidates...
Around Boston, it is not uncommon to hear Rajon Rondo called a “top-five” point guard. In some cases, the Celtics’ floor general is even called the best point guard in the NBA, although that might be going a little too far for even Rondo’s biggest fans.
Sports Illustrated weighed in on the topic, as we did months ago, with an updated list of the top 10 point guards in the...

Tomorrow, the Celtics will head back on the road for a matchup with their division-rivals, the 76ers. So far this season, the Celtics are just 1-3 against Philly and 0-1 on the road. Despite those bad numbers, the Celtics have played well recently with two consecutive victories over the Jazz and Warriors. I'm not sure that the C's will be favored tomorrow night, but I do...

The Boston Celtics, who lost guards, Rajon Rondo and Leandro Barbosa, this season, have signed Terrence Williams to a two-year deal. Williams is averaging 4.3 points, 2.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists (14.7 minutes) in three games since signing a ten-day contract with the Celtics.

7:00: Tonight, the Celtics will head home to host the Golden State Warriors. The Warriors currently sit at 33-25 overall, but just 15-18 on the road. Today's biggest story revolving around the C's is the re-signing of Terrence Williams. Williams hasn't been amazing recently, but definitely deserved to keep his job. Anyway, tip-off for this one is at 7:30. Enjoy it.
