Found October 03, 2012 on Celtics Green ...a boston celtics blog.:

In the above video we find out that there were a couple of fiery exchanges at the end of a very good practice today. That tells me that they are really competing in practice and that it will be a relief when they finally get a chance to play against another team. We also learn that Jeff Green is playing very well and gives the team a lot of versatility. The point guard for the Turkish team they play on Friday is supposed to be one of the best in Europe and so it should be a great match-up.

Some good news on the injury front. Avery Bradley is ahead of schedule on his recovery and was able to put shots up today for the first time since his surgery. He said he's feeling great and has no pain after his workout today. He's confident that he'll be able to return early.

Darko took a hard hit and fall in practice today. He eventually walked off the court on his own and wasn't expected to return to practice. But he did eventually return to practice and was fine, which is a good thing. In other injury news, Chris Wilcox sat out of practice after taking a hard hit in practice yesterday. Word is that it was a back strain and nothing to do with the heart surgery that kept him out of much of last season.

CSNNE reported today that he thought of going elsewhere when he didn't know what would happen with the Celtics this off season and he wasn't ready for a rebuilding project. Since the start of camp, he's been talking about retiring with KG and also he's talking about wanting to stay with the Celtics after his playing career.
"I was telling somebody the other day I'm pretty much institutionalized [in Boston]," Pierce said. "If I went somewhere else I couldn't see it. Hopefully I can be here a lot longer than even my playing days. Just to help along with coaching and management, I've really given some thought to that, giving back to what the game has given to me. And I hope I can continue to do that in Boston."

What to Expect from Celtics Jeff Green in 2012

Of all the players on the Celtics roster it is probably hardest to get a feel for Jeff Green. After arriving in Boston at the trade deadline in 2011 Green played 26 inconsistent games for the C’s, struggling to adapt on the fly before Boston bowed out in the second round of the playoffs to Miami. Green, a restricted free-agent at the time, re-upped with Boston on a one year $9...

Jeff Green asserting himself in camp

After a disappointing debut for the Celtics at the end of the 2010-2011 season, many were critical of the rather large contract the Celtics signed Jeff Green to this offseason. However, Doc Rivers remained confident in Jeff Green despite his struggles during his brief time with the Celtics:“Trying to do that on the run, with 25 games left, is nearly impossible,” Rivers said...

Jeff Green Shows Ability to Lead Second Unit and Other Impressions from Celtics' Loss in Istanbul

These Turkish teams are not to be taken lightly. Despite a warning from Dionte Christmas, an alumnus of the Turkish Basketball League, that Fenerbahce Ulker would be no pushover, the Celtics never seemed able to get in rhythm on Friday. Boston's first exhibition foe of the 2012-13 season controlled the pace of the game, got to the free throw line more effectively and protected...

Avery Bradley “months” ahead of schedule?

This is good news, and it may put him on the December end of the timeline for his return.  Or sooner.  Check him out on media day saying he’s “months” ahead (1:05 mark)… And when you consider the extent of his injury, that’s pretty amazing. <img height="184" width="488" title="Twitter / Trags: Avery Bradley "I tore everything ..."...

Video: Rajon Rondo throws a touchdown pass to Jeff Green

We read previously that Rajon Rondo organized practices for the Celtics in LA and the guys played some football. Looks like some of that is carrying over to Turkey now. Check out the video above of Rondo throwing a touchdown pass to Jeff Green. Hopefully we will see some crazy court-long alley oops from Rondo to Green this season. Thanks to ThunWest from the shoutbox for sharing the video

The Boston Celtics lost the first game of the NBA's preseason Friday, 97-91 to Turkish team Fenerbahce Ulker.
