Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jeff Green and his family as it has been reported the early detection of his condition may have very well saved his life. The loss of Green for the season is a blow the Celtics could not have prepared for especially in this fashion.
While they may not have been prepared, there is no choice but to adjust and attempt to amend the situation.

The Boston Celtics announced Saturday that forward Jeff Green will undergo surgery next month and will miss the entire season.
Perhaps Danny Ainge is looking for a shooting guard or a center, since the Celtics more or less don’t have a backup at either position. I’d still like Boston to pursue another small forward — read my post about the need for Marquis Daniels to remain healthy — but at this point Posey might not be as productive as Sasha Pavlovic (*dodges full beer thrown by Celtics fan*)...
