TEAMS: Dallas Mavericks, Boston Celtics, San Antonio Spurs
On Wednesday night the Celtics hosted the Dallas Mavericks. Coming into the game the big storyline featured Jason Terry as he matched up against his former team for the first time since joining the Celtics this off season. Although Terry said it was just another game it's been well documented he wasn't pleased when the call never came for him to resign with the Mavs. In a wild double overtime game the Celtics survived and came away with a win 117-115.
The Mavericks were without their former finals MVP and franchise player Dirk Nowitzki. Their team as a whole was completely revamped in the off season similar to the Celtics, matching veteran players with young athletic talent. The Celtics opened up with their traditional line-up of Rajon Rondo, Jason Terry, Paul Pierce, Brandon Bass and Kevin Garnett. Of the starters Rondo achieved a career and team high 53 minutes and just missed a triple-double finishing with 16 points, 15 assists, and 9 rebounds. Paul Pierce was the high ...

Video: Terry talks playing his former team & Rondo talks NFL dreams & Tom Brady
Might be an emotional night tomorrow as Jason Terry faces his former long time teammates for the first time. For his part he's downplaying the game based on the fact that a lot of the guys he went to war with over there will not be playing tomorrow. Most likely the Celtics lone visit to Dallas will be the tougher night.
Below is the video to compliment Mike Dyer's recent...

Jason Terry hugs his former coach, Rick Carlisle
The storyline in this one was Jason Terry playing his first game against his former team. Terry didn't play great with just 10 points but far more importantly, the C's were able to beat his former club, although it took a long time.
The first half was the story of Paul Pierce absolutely finding his scoring touch. Over his...
Celtics Escape With Win Over Mavericks Despite Mistakes That Will Cost Them Against Better Teams
BOSTON — Jason Terry was incapable of recalling even the most crucial late-game possessions. His mind was so fogged over with 58 minutes of basketball, he could only try — but fail — to recall specific plays from the Celtics’ double-overtime slog against the Mavericks.
“I don’t know,” Terry said. “I don’t even remember. It all happened so fast.”
Actually, it happened...
Mavericks-Celtics Preview
Maybe Jason Terry's play last season for the Dallas Mavericks against the Boston Celtics is a big reason why he's wearing green and white now.
Terry will face the Mavericks for the first time since joining the Celtics in Wednesday night's matchup in Boston.
Dallas (11-10) has won four straight over Boston (11-9), with Dirk Nowitzki leading the way with 24.0 points per...
Your Morning Dump… Where Doc has no timetable for a Celtics turnaround
Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
“I don’t have a timetable on (when it’s all going to come together) because I don’t know what the time is going to be,” Celtics coach Doc Rivers said. “Some teams I’ve had get it like that, some take...

Comments from the Other Side - Mavs 12/12
That was quite the game. I'd rather have a 20 point lead going into the final 2 minutes. I'm too old for these close games. The guy predicting 2-12 for JET was pretty close, he finished 3-10. Like usual, there are the Paul Pierce wheelchair comments and the complaints about the refs and KG's screens. You can count on those like clockwork. They sure got worked up...
Rondo repping Welker
Welp, it’s a little late, but consider this a “late-night snack”. I was trying to find this pic all day, and the folks at Celtics Fanchat tweeted it just now. It’s our own Rajon Rondo talking with Patriots great Matt Light last night at Foxboro.

Rondo Cheers On Patriots’ MNF Game From Sideline
Rajon Rondo came out to support the home team New England Patriots as they took on the 11-1 Houston Texans at Gillette Stadium Monday night. The Celtics guard got the best seat in the house, cheering from the sideline where he sported a #83 Wes Welker jersey, the same one he’s worn to previous games. Rockets knock of Celtics, 101-89
After trailing the entire 4th quarter, Paul Pierce gave the Celtics signs of life with a big 3 that cut the Houston lead to 88-83. On the next possession Rajon Rondo poked the ball away from James Harden and dove for the steal, but couldn't quit come up with it. Harden then buried a deep three to stretch the lead back to 8 with 4:41 to go. Boston would never get any closer...
