Celtics waive Miles

The Boston Celtics waived guard/forward Darius Miles today. Miles signed a contract with the Celtics this off-season and was an extreme long shot to make the roster. His contract was not guaranteed since he hasn't played organized basketball since 2005-2006 when he underwent microfracture surgery on his knee. Even with the release there is still some hope that Miles could once again be providing highlight reel material.
