This is a terrible idea, but then again Rose is locked into a long-term deal, so it isn’t like he can leave anytime soon. 670 The Score penned an open letter to the fans of Chicago.
Check it out below.
It’s been over one year since Derrick Rose’s ACL tear and over two months since doctors cleared him to play.
Still, the former MVP of the league refuses to leave his post on the Bulls bench. Meanwhile, the hobbled Bulls continue to fight on against the Nets in Round 1 of the NBA playoffs.
Frustrated? Here’s your chance to express your feelings to Rose.
In the space below, write an open letter to the face of the Bulls franchise. Yell at him, plead with him, convince him – this is your chance to say whatever it is you want to say to Derrick Rose.
670 The Score wants to hear from you. Please keep your submission under 50 words. We’ll select and publish our favorites.
I am sure Bulls fans calling him out is really going to make him return faster.

Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose isn’t the fan favorite he was a year ago just before he went down in a torn ACL in the midst of a playoff run. The city got behind him in hopes of a return, and felt really encouraged as they witnessed a few athletes bounce back quickly from similar injuries in other sports during the same time period. But alas, Rose is still out of action, even...
Chicago radio station 670 The Score has provided a forum for Bulls fans to express their frustration over point guard Derrick Rose's delayed return to the court.
Chicago fans were livid Friday afternoon after reports surfaced that Derrick Rose, who has yet to return to action, was spotted partying at Chicago hot spots Lumen and Mask Thursday night following the injury/flu-ridden team’s 95-92 loss to the Nets. A waitress at the clubs told a friend that “Team Rose” was partying “like they won the NBA Title.” The Bulls and Rose...
Derrick Rose has been cleared to play. That's not to say he'e been cleared like its breaking news, but more like in the past tense; it's old news now. Yet, the superstar said he will not play till he feels ready--which does not appear to be this season.
That hasn't stopped fans from wishing he was playing. Now a local Chicago news station has implored fans to let...
CBS Chicago gives fans a forum to go in on Derrick Rose
Derrick Rose has made it expressly clear that he will return to basketball and the Chicago Bulls when HE feels he is ready.
Yet, calls for him to “man up” and “get off the bench” and suit up are becoming increasingly common. The hostility behind it increasing too.
CBS Chicago posted an “Open Letter...
The Chicago Bulls currently hold a 3-2 series lead over the Brooklyn Nets in the opening round of the playoffs, and people are already buzzing about the possibility of Derrick Rose returning to face the Miami Heat if they are able to advance. Rose has said multiple times that he will not come back unless he is 100 percent healthy, but Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said he is not opposed...
Derrick Rose's teammates on the Chicago Bulls continue to support him and don't agree with the notion that the star guard owes it to them to return from his torn ACL.
"We don’t feel that way," Kirk Hinrich said. "It’s been a very difficult year for Derrick. I’ve never experienced any sort of injury like that. I’m not one to speak on how anybody else’s...
TNT's Rachel Nichols reported Thursday that Chicago Bulls guard Derrick Rose told her that muscle memory is holding him back from returning to the court from ACL surgery., http://juicedsportsblog.com/sports-news/news/report-muscle-memory-delaying-rose-return
Last night after the Chicago Bulls lost to the Brooklyn Nets, I logged onto Facebook to find Derrick Rose being blasted in the majority of comments on my news feed. I lived in Chicago for three years, and the sentiments echoed in the posts being made by my friends that are Bulls fans mostly consisted of calling Rose a "p#ssy" for not suiting up and helping his team dispose...
With Chicago leading the Brooklyn Nets 3-2 in their first-round series, TNT analyst Steve Kerr said that shelved superstar Derrick Rose “maybe owes it to his teammates” to play for the Bulls in Game 6 on Thursday. The 24-year-old Rose, a three-time NBA All-Star who became the youngest man to ever earn the Most Valuable Player award in 2011, suffered a torn ACL in his left knee...
The Stanley Cup Playoffs got off to a strong start in Chicago and Minneapolis. In other news, the Bulls’ first round TV ratings are still below Derrick Rose levels, and the Houston Astros are not [...]
The Chicago Bulls cannot afford to lose another guard while Derrick Rose continues to watch games from the bench. Nate Robinson, who is clearly well aware of that, fought through flu-like symptoms during a Game 6 loss to the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday night. He was seen throwing up into a trash can on the Bulls bench during a timeout.
In fact, the core of the Bulls roster seems to...
- Can anyone explain this Derrick Rose thing? So with the Bulls up 3-2 they have a chance to close out New Jersey in Chicago, knowing a loss sends this back to a game 7 in Jersey so this is basically a do or die game. Both Kirk Hinrich, who started at PG in place of Rose all year, and Luol Deng, probably the team's best perimeter defender, are out and in case you forget...
