DENVER (AP) -- A person with knowledge of the trade says the Nuggets are sending Nene to the Wizards in a three-team deal, with Washington sending JaVale McGee and Ronny Turiaf to Denver and Nick Young to the Los Angeles Clippers. The person told The Associated Press on Thursday that Washington also picked up forward Brian Cook. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because no formal announcement had been made about the trade, which was completed right at the trade deadline. The Nuggets signed Nene to a new five-year, 67 million contract in December. But the recent play of rookie forward Kenneth Faried made Nene expendable. ESPN was among the first to report the trade and also said that Washington would receive a future second-round pick from Los Angeles.

Wizards Update: 3-Way Trade Shakes Up Roster

If you’ve read this blog at all in the past then you know how I feel about this current Wizards team. For the past few years they’ve been one of the dumbest, most mistake prone teams the NBA has ever seen. Having said that, the deal the team made yesterday at the trade dealine left me more confused than hopeful. The trade is as follows: The Wizards traded our young, incredibly...

Wizards Made Another Step To Improve

The Washington Wizards have been the laughing stock of the league for the last couple of seasons. Maturity and team ball were two of the biggest problem areas for the team over the course of their struggles. Thursday, the Wizards took a great leap forward by shipping JaVale McGee off to Denver in exchange for Nene. Sure, they had to give up one of their top scorers in Nick Young...

Blake Griffin airballs back to back free throws

Here’s a video of Blake Griffin air balling two free throws in a row. No wonder the Clippers seem to be struggling. You’d think after leaving the first one about a foot short he’d try to bank the second one in. Maybe if there was a Kia Optima under the rim…

JaVale McGee Wants $14 Million Per Year

WAIT, WHAT?? Apparently JaVale thinks he is the bee’s knees, but this really did happen: In addition to his on-court struggles, it appears that Wizards center JaVale McGee is a bit delusional. Sources say he has informed the Wizards that he will be looking for a contract averaging around $14 million when he becomes a [...]

Mo Williams scored 25 points and fellow reserve Eric Bledsoe added 14 on a relatively quiet night by Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, leading the Los Angeles Clippers to a 96-82 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night. The victory kept the Clippers within two games of the Lakers in the race for the Pacific Division lead. Griffin had 12 points and 10 rebounds, while Paul contributed...

Markieff Morris Gives Blake Griffin a Taste of His Own Medicine with Sick Poster (Video)
