Rondo, totally sick of media, deadpans: "I don't want to start any trade rumors but Kendrick Perkins is getting traded back to the Celtics."— Ben Golliver (@blazersedge) February 24, 2012
So.. this is kind of out of left field. Who knows how much credence there is to this, knowing Rondo he was probably kidding. The Perk trade certainly has not gone away as a topic...
The Boston Celtics are in the market for big men.
Centers Jermain O'Neal and Chris Wilcox both missed Wednesday's loss at Oklahoma City and may not be available after the All-Star break.
Both players flew back to Boston to have their injuries evaluated. O'Neal suffered a sprained left wrist and Wilcox a strained right groin in Monday's loss at Dallas.
It looks like Celtics fans have something to look forward to on All Star Saturday after all. Last year we had Ray and Paul shooting it out in the 3 point contest. This year it didn't appear that there would be any Celtics entrants in the Saturday festivities. But today, Rajon Rondo was named to replace Stephen Curry in the Skills Challenge.

According to Peter Vecsey of the NY Post, the Lakers would be more than interested in acquiring Rajon Rondo from the Celtics.
If the Lakers indeed are interested in signing Rasheed Wallace — a logical step-down from flirting with Gilbert Arenas—it lends credence to the Rajon Rondo/Jermaine O’Neal-Pau Gasol swap I keep hearing. Lord knows they’re desperate for a point guard...

Happy Friday Celtics fans. Fan Friday will be back after the All-Star break, but I'd like to do a little throwback piece on All-Star weekend. Enjoy some pics from All-Star games past including some current Boston Celtics. Video of Paul Pierce's 2010 Three-Point contest victory after the jump...
The NY Post's Peter Vecsey is the latest to stir the pot:
If the Lakers indeed are interested in signing Rasheed Wallace — a logical step-down from flirting with Gilbert Arenas—it lends credence to the Rajon Rondo/Jermaine O’Neal-Pau Gasol swap I keep hearing. Lord knows they’re desperate for a point guard and Rondo is exceedingly obtainable and Kobe Bryant loves his...
Former Boston Celtics forward Rasheed Wallace's last game in the
NBA ended in a Game 7 defeat to the Lakers in the 2010 Finals,
before he announced his retirement.
ORLANDO - What kind of a Celtic would Paul Pierce be if he didn’t capitalize on an opportunity to chide Lakers guard Kobe Bryant? Pierce took full advantage while sitting on the bench last night during the final moments of the West’s 152-149 victory over the East.
The Celtics are 15-17 at the midpoint of the season.
CLNS Radio is starting a new series of contests, leading up to the NBA playoffs. The first of this series will be an autographed piece of basketball hardwood by Celtics’ legend, and current Houston Rockets head coach, Kevin McHale. In addition to the McHale autograph, the winner will also receive a photo of McHale signing [...]
