Here's something you should know about Turkish sports media before you read this post: They love creating transfer rumors, especially when it comes to soccer. NBA trade deadline day could be slow compared to any given off-season day in Turkish sports. That being said, a Besiktas news website has just reported that Colton Iverson has agreed to terms to play in Turkey for Semih Erden, Allen Iverson and Deron Williams' ex-team. Undrafted/unsigned players fresh out of college often go to Europe and play basketball there, and Turkish league is one of the strongest in Europe (along with Spain, Italy and Greece). Iverson's playing style (hustle, rebounding and dirty work) suits the European understanding of basketball quite well, so that would be a good experience for him. Besiktas supporters would love him since he would provide an upgrade for their Center who had similar characteristics but couldn't convert free throws for his life. I'm not kidding, his season averag...

Report: Kris Humphries’ ex-girlfriend releasing a sex tape

Kris Humphries’ ex-girlfriend, Myla Sinanaj, is reportedly releasing a sex tape. It’s a career move. She wants to be just like Humphries’ ex-wife Kim Kardashian. “I may not like Kim, but she was smart and she's sexy and I look a lot like her so why not make a tape and make millions and get a reality show?” Sinanaj told TMZ.

Danny Ainge: If Nets hadn’t come along with offer, ‘we would’ve kept everybody together’

The Brooklyn Nets are set to introduce Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce at a press conference on Thursday at the Barclays Center. For the first time, Garnett and Pierce will hold up their new Nets jerseys and talk about their opportunity to compete for an NBA title in Brooklyn. On Monday, Boston Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge explained

Bogans: Wallace and Humphries are better players than they showed last season

Even though most of the focus on newly acquired players Kris Humphries and Gerald Wallce is on their contracts and if they will even suit up in green, also acquired teammate Keith Bogans thinks the pair have plenty left to give. This from Jay King at “I think a lot of people don’t realize that we played a lot of iso, one-on-one basketball,” Bogans said Monday...

Gerald Wallace’s All-Out Style Is Blessing, Curse as Collisions Catch Up With ‘Crash’ (Poll)

Gerald Wallace has been the invisible man since the trade was finalized to bring him to Boston. Rest assured, though. He does exist. Not only is Wallace real, but when he is healthy, he is also real good. The man known as “Crash” was a joy to watch in his prime, particularly his 6 1/2 seasons with the Charlotte Bobcats. To this day, the 2009-10 Bobcats, the only team in franchise...

Shavlik Randolph Could Be Victim of Celtics’ Numbers Game in Crowded Frontcourt (Poll)

Shavlik Randolph proved last season that there is a place for him in the NBA. That place just might not be in Boston. Of all the hard-luck players on the Celtics’ crowded roster this summer, Randolph is in a particularly tough spot. Both within the locker room or the front office, Randolph garnered instant respect with his hustle as a reserve center after Jason Collins, who previously...

Greg Oden met with Celtics

The future wasn’t looking too bright for the Boston Celtics following the 2006-07 season. The team was 24-58 and posted the second-worst record in the league. The only positive was that the Celtics had a high chance of landing the top prize of the 2007 NBA Draft: Greg Oden. One blockbuster trade, an NBA title and six years later; Boston is looking to land Oden again. Per Yahoo...

Jeff Green Represents Celtics’ Future to Some Fans, Toxic Contract to Others (Poll)

Kevin Garnett said last year that Jeff Green has a chance to be one of the greatest players in NBA history. The Celtics are about to test Garnett’s theory, big time. Green, who spent much of last season as the fourth offensive option behind Paul Pierce, Garnett and Rajon Rondo, respectively, will start next season without at least two and perhaps all three of those players. Pierce...

Paul Pierce sentimental for return to Boston, not mad about trade, also not sure when Rondo will be healthy

Back on draft day when it was announced that Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett were going to be traded, the immediate thing that crossed my mind was how emotional it will be to attend their first game back at the Garden next season.  I get goosebumps just thinking about.  To no surprise, Pierce has been thinking about it a lot too.  From Sports Illustrated's Chris Mannix: Pierce...

Gregg Popovich called Doc Rivers for advice on dealing with Game 7 loss

For all the success Doc Rivers had as the head coach of the Boston Celtics, he knows plenty about devastating losses. The Celtics came close to winning their second championship under Rivers multiple times after they won an NBA title in 2008. In 2010, Boston lost a gut-wrenching Game 7 to the Los Angeles Lakers [...]

Back in the grand year of 2012, a piece of art work showing Boston Celtics legend Larry Bird talking to He-Man’s Skeletor came into our lives for the better. The artist of that legendary piece was Jake Fyfe and now he has decided to bless up with an art print of that famous painting for sale. You can pick it up at $19.99 on his official website and while it’s not exactly the...

Humphries looking forward to fresh start with Celtics

Kris Humphries has been around the NBA long enough to understand how the business of the league works. So, when Humphries sat down with Nets general manager Billy King after the Nets saw their season end at the hands of the Bulls in the first round of the playoffs, he knew there was a good chance he’d be playing elsewhere next season. “I wasn’t surprised,” Humphries said...

Pierce had to convince KG to waive no trade clause with 90 min. phone call

As most Celtics fans can imagine, it took a little convincing to get Kevin Garnett to waive his no trade clause to get him to Brooklyn. According to Chris Forsberg of the worldwide leader local branch, Pierce had to convince KG with a 90 minute phone call to accept the trade to Nets. Pierce detailed how he had to initially talk KG into trade. Said they had a 90-minute phone conversation...

Celtics Acquire $10.3M TPE From Nets

The Boston Celtics acquired a $10.3 million trade exception in their trade of Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce to the Brooklyn Nets. The Celtics will have 365 days to use to the traded player exception.

Brad Stevens isn't concerned about his age

When you enter Celtics games at the TD Garden they hand you a free mini "program" with stats and information about the team.  In my years as a season ticket holder I've always paid attention the section which lists each player's date of birth, comparing their ages to my own.  Paul Pierce was born six months after me in October of 1977, so he's been my constant...
