I love how these fans complain about not getting any calls when they shot 14 more free throws than the Celtics.  I also loved how they were happy to leave Rondo open in the beginning and by the end of the game they were yelling for someone to cover him!  Pretty funny.  In spite of the loss, I hope you can find some comments to smile at.  Loss. Career game from Rondo. Considering he had the game of his career a few games ago with 18/20/17, I don't see him eclipsing that. Just like what the Lakers did in 1987, this group of Lakers will make the Boston Celtics disappear for another 20 plus years. Win. Prompting KG to sign with us next year I honestly think KG is done after this year I can forget the ugly losses at Detroit and Washington with a win against the stinking green Probably the last game for Gasol in purple & gold...also, the last game for Rondo in green... No Jerlame Oatmeal, no Wilcox. KoME please feed the bigs!!! I hope we bash there heads in a...

Boston’s New Ray Allen: A High School Girl Named Nicole

Eagletribune.com: Nicole Boudreau Week continues today here in The Eagle-Tribune sports pages, several hours away from her sixth career game on the famed TD Garden parquet floor. Win or lose tonight — the Andover High girls basketball team is the favorite against Braintree in the Eastern Mass. final — my educated guess is this won’t be the last time you see her picture or...

Report: Celtics & Lakers talked Rondo trade last week

Mike Bresnahan of the LA Times has the story: The teams talked last week about a trade for Celtics guard Rajon Rondo, though nothing was close to accomplished and discussions dried up.The Lakers are unwilling to trade Pau Gasol for Rondo, making a deal with Boston unlikely before the trade deadline Thursday."Unless they give up Gasol, they're not going to get a top...

Stiemsma's suffers foot injury

Chris Forsberg via ESPN Boston As if the Celtics needed anything else to worry about with their bigs, rookie center Greg Stiemsma, who did not play the final 13 minutes on Sunday, left the Staples Center with a walking boot on his right foot, apparently a precautionary measure as he moved around the locker room without issue immediately after the game. Stiemsma endured right foot...

Your Morning Dump... The Celtics didn't make shots

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here... highlighting the big storyline. Because there's nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. Yet when it counted, nobody could produce. Allen missed a 3-pointer and a jumper. Kevin Garnett missed an open jumper. Brandon Bass missed one of his customary midrange jumpers after hitting seven of his previous...

Boston Celtics need to shut up and play basketball

It’s been quite a while since I last composed an opinionated article on our Boston Celtics. Most of my opinions are now left for the listeners of CLNS Post/Pre Game Shows and The Celtics Late Night Show. I think our listeners receive ample share of my soap box ranting on the internet airwaves. It now [...]

Enemy Chatter: Doc Rivers out coached Del Negro

I often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics after playing the Celtics. Here's a dose of 'enemy chatter' from Los Angeles. Who says coaches don’t matter? Doc Rivers thoroughly outcoached Vinny Del Negro in this one by going to a stable of simple yet effective plays to create the mismatches the Clippers’ defense...

Danny Ainge On Rondo, Gasol Deal: "Wouldn't Even Consider That"

Celtics survive Clippers late, BOS: 94 LAC: 85

It was a back and forth game, but in the end the Celtics came out on top after a late run helped them seal the 94-85 victory. It was the Celtics second night of a back to back, and their second straight game in the Staples Center. Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 25 points, Kevin Garnett added 21 points. Rajon Rondo had a double double with 12 points and 10 assists. Ray Allen was...

Celtics start road trip short-handed against rival Lakers

Follow me on Twitter @CLNS_Sean There are stretches in an NBA season that determine the outcome of a team’s journey to the second season. For the 2012 season, this upcoming week is that stretch for the Boston Celtics. After an up and down week with a comeback victory over the Rockets, an embarrassing blowout [...]

C's hit road after a rout

BOSTON (AP) -- Paul Pierce and Ray Allen each scored 22 points and the Boston Celtics rebounded from a lopsided loss and handed one to Portland last night, beating the Trail Blazers, 104-86. The win came after Boston lost by 32 points at Atlantic Division-leading Philadelphia on Wednesday, its worst setback in more than six years. Kevin Garnett grabbed seven defensive rebounds...

Aging Celtics fading from list of contenders

LOS ANGELES Paul Pierce opened the door at the far corner of the visitors' locker room, surveyed the phalanx of reporters camped in front of his locker and receded behind the gray metal door. It was easy to understand why, after the Celtics handed a 97-94 victory to the Lakers, Pierce wasn't yet in much of a mood to face the uncomfortable questions that follow the decaying...

Celtics Get Good Road Win Against Poser Clipper Team

The Celtics played their second game in two nights out in Los Angeles, as they fought off a young athletic Lob City Clippers team who seemed more interested in posing after shots and trying to get tough with the older Celtics. The 94-85 win was paced by Paul Pierce’s 25 points. This is the first west coast road swing I can remember that I think actually makes sense from a scheduling...

Stiemsma To Continue Receiving Heavy Minutes

With Chris Wilcox and Jermaine O'Neal out, the Celtics will continue to rely heavily upon Greg Stiemsma.

Celtics star Rajon Rondo eats sushi before game (Video)

Before the start of last night's Clippers/Celtics affair, ESPN did their usual look-in to the locker room and caught Celtics guard Rajon Rondo chowing down on a pregame meal. Rondo's food of choice happened to sushi and that amused the ESPN broadcast team of Hubie Brown and Mike Tirico:
