Celtics Green ...a boston celtics blog.:
Another game, more complaints about the refs. Since every single fan base complains about calls, including the Celtics, I can only conclude that the refs are terrible all the way around. The usual talk about Pierce being a drama queen and the Celtics illegal screens. Enjoy today's Comments from the Other Side...
Really want a win here... I maintain Boston is not very good this year... Their only wins are 2 narrow defeats of the hapless injury depleted wizards...
Boston seems to be the New York Giants of the NBA. They start slow and then turn it on when they have to. With that said I love the way we matchup with them.
I'll be surprised if this is gonna be a win for the Sixers. Gotta feeling Boston is gonna play like it's expected of them against us.
Omg its a Celtics home game.. I'm gonna have to listen to Tommy all game long
Annoying slow-motion Pierce move
If the defender breathes on him….WHISTLE!
Finally, someone decides to attack the basket. Go at Sullinger, I loved him at OSU but he’s weak defensively.
ET is the Celtics' kryptonite. Even Tommy hypes him up.
Boston refs in play tonight
Pierce is one of the most theatrical players in the league. You would think he gets hacked every time he's near the ball.
Now sullinger sets illegal screens!
Uh oh Pierce faking one of those classic injuries where a guy acts hurt and goes on to dominate a game.
Brandon Bass: flopping like a fish out of water to get a home foul.
Either our defense is extremely good or the Celtics are horrid at offense
Really, we're gonna call Moulrie for illegal screens After Kevin Garnett has made a career of it?
Celtics miss, its a foul.
I think the Celtics announcers just suggested the only way to stop Swagy is to punch him in the face.
Pierce yelled – why didn’t he get the call????
These illegal screen calls on the Sixers are a joke. KG gets away with SO MUCH MORE.
Welp, the Boston Floppers showing life
Celtics getting all the calls besides. How can you not hate Boston?
Man, we shouldve drafted Sullinger.
I just can’t stand Brandon Bass He’s never missed a shot against us, ever.
The Celtics have a whole lotta players I can’t stand. Main reason why they’re our rival I guess.
So sick of Boston getting whistle for getting breathed on!
Refs manufacturing points for the Celtics....typical...
I hate the Celtics more than anything.
Lol at Tommy and Scalibrine complaining about that call when the Celtics have been getting all the calls for the first 3 quarters
Very professional, Boston commentator, call the ref an idiot. Not like you’ve been getting EVERY call this quarter
Rondo just body slammed himself on to the floor. FLOP!
I hate complaining about the refs but dam that is some sad ****
The refs are pulling all the stops for Boston
Rondo’s just good. He’s going to get his. He’ll also make plenty of mistakes.
I love that they beat the Celtics.
What a bunch of sore losers. Pierce and Garnett head right to the tunnel.
Celtics always storm off the court after they lose

Sean Grande, aka the radio voice of the Boston Celtics, just tweeted this breaking news:
Here it is: Jason Terry and Brandon Bass move into the starting lineup for the Celtics tonight, replacing Courtney Lee and Jared Sullinger.

Okay. There is quite a bit more to this story but I love when Rajon Rondo talks trash, especially agains The Boston Celtics point guard sat down with Mut and Merloni of WEEI and discussed a variety of topics. Rondo talked about the Celtics slow start and the new guys getting acclimated. Rondo also discusses his [...]
BOSTON — The year before Kevin Garnett came to Boston, he logged nearly 40 minutes per night for the Minnesota Timberwolves, purely out of necessity. That Wolves squad was so thin that the infamous Mark Blount was the third-leading scorer, and nobody other than Garnett grabbed more than five rebounds or blocked more than one shot a night.
That was seven years ago.
The Celtics find...
Rondo got robbed of an assist when Garnett got hit.
Rajon Rondo's spectacular streak of 30 games with 10+ assists has led me to keep a very close eye on his ball distribution of late. As he continues to climb his way up the charts towards the all-time record, I watch each game intently keeping track of his assist count.
While at the Garden last Wednesday I noticed three...
As a die hard fan and Boston Celtics season ticket holder, I’m very interested in Rajon Rondo’s streak of consecutive games with 10 or more assists, which now stands at 29 (tied for 3rd longest in NBA history). While sitting in the Garden Wednesday night and paying very close attention to Rondo’s assist count, I had an epiphany of sorts.
There were at least 3 or 4 plays...
C’s come away with a big road win in Milwaukee last night, beating the Bucks 106-100. Boston is now in Chicago preparing for their Monday night game with the Bulls. Tip-off at the United Center is at 8pm EST.

The Celtics trail the 76ers at the half 57-45 as the Sixers perimeter players combined for 34 points with 8 assists for Jrue Holiday. Spencer Hawes had some nice second chance baskets late in the second quarter and shut KG out of the paint for most of the half. Despite his legendary headband-mullter combination, Hawes [...]

Celtics vs. 76ers
November 10, 1979
It’s fair to say Larry Bird never saw anyone quite like Julius Erving during his time at Indiana State.
Undaunted by the one of the most premiere players in the league, Bird and the Celtics entered Philadelphia intending to make a statement that they were the best team in the East. The 76ers, however, were not overly impressed...
