Isiah Thomas has been let go from FIU, and has now joined the unemployment list in this struggling economy.
Could the New York Knicks bring back Isiah Thomas? Believe it or not, I can see him coming back to New York.
Knicks owner James Dolan has a soft spot for Isiah Thomas for whatever reason. He is dumb enough to bring him back.
He clearly doesn't care how anyone thinks of him because he'll whatever he wants and we have no say according to him.
This would be a media backlash if this were happen, even though I had this impression that he would back within a few years.
It's clear the NBA wanted to get of rid of Isiah Thomas away from the Knicks so they can turn themselves around with new management.
They brought in Donnie Walsh and Mike D'Antoni to clear the bad air out at Madison Square Garden and bring winning basketball back to NYC.
Four years later, both Donnie Walsh and Mike D'Antoni are gone and Isiah's buddies Glen Grunwald who is the current GM and Mike Woodson the HC.
Those three are very good friends since going to the 1970's at Indiana University playing college basketball all together.
Although, I don't see him becoming the general manager of the team. I can see him return as a talent evaluator, which he has talent wise of finding good players.
Let's hope and pray that this is all a dream or it really is a total nightmare.
BEST OF MAXIM
Without Amar'e Stoudemire and Jeremy Lin, the Knicks have relied upon their role players to pace the team offensively. Missing two key starters, the team is certainly happy enough to receive support for Carmelo Anthony anywhere they can find it.Lucky for them, there are potent offensive options off the bench. Steve Novak has capitalized on his ability to spread the floor well...
MIAMI – Isiah Tomas was fired or excuse me “relieved of his duties” as coach of the Florida International University men’s basketball team this afternoon. The school announced the move in a statement posted on their website.
“We want to thank Isiah Thomas for his three years here at FIU. However, we have decided to take the program in a different direction.”
Landry Fields accidentally took out referee Bill Kennedy when The New York Knicks took on the Orlando Magic on Thursday night. Landry got fouled hard on a drive to the basket and the push and momentum carried him all the way to absolutely annihilating Bill Kennedy who was an innocent observer on the baseline.

After a bit of back and forth I have decided that it is best that I do Box of Ziti’s by myself, since the logistic (just ask what Brown can do for you I guess) of getting the games from the others is not so easy to then put them into a post. So, with the beginning of Major League Baseball, I figured this would be the perfect time to start back up, but before I do here is the usual...
The Knicks still do not know when Amar'e Stoudemire will return from a bulging disk in his back. Stoudemire will be back at some point and Mike Woodson believes it will be sooner rather than later. That is what he told Frank Isola of the New York Daily News on Tuesday before the Knicks loss to the Pacers. Stoudemire is traveling with the team now and will be in Orlando on Thursday...
Mike Woodson is going to make a professional out of J.R. Smith, and he doesn’t care what it takes to accomplish that goal. The Knicks interim coach has been speaking with Smith since the guard’s Tuesday ejection against the Pacers. He wants Smith to make many changes.
“I told him I’m going to continue to coach him as long as I’m coaching the team,” Woodson said Thursday...
MINNEAPOLIS On March 24, Jeremy Lin injured his knee, thereby dealing the death blow to the NBA's feel-good story of the moment. But don't call it fleeting the Lin phenomenon lasted a whole month and a half. Yes, that's right, a month. Exactly 49 days separated Lin's breakout 25-point night and his season-ending injury, and yet it somehow became an era. Linsanity...

Florida International has fired men's basketball coach Isiah Thomas, after the Hall of Fame player went 26-65 in three seasons.
Thomas took over at FIU in a surprising move, one that gave the former New York Knicks coach and president a chance to restore his reputation after his disastrous turn in New York.
New York fans are now wondering if Thomas— Knicks owner James...
As the playoffs approach, a familiar opponent is assaulting the New York Knicks slippery grasp on the eight seed. The Milwaukee Bucks and Knicks have been trading possession of the eighth seed back and forth for weeks. Suddenly, Milwaukee has emerged from the dead to re-enter the race. After watching Carmelo Anthony’s 39-point performance in a loss to the Pacers it’s a...

Mike Woodson goes 10-3 on the season as the interim head coach since taking over a little less than a month ago.
They are now 1.5 games up on the Milwaukee Bucks for the 8th seed spot in the EC and they self destruct like they did last game.
By the way, Dwight Howard clearly mailed in...
We didn’t really follow Isiah Thomas while he was the coaching at FIU. We really didn’t have to. Well before he lost his first game to a NAIA school, we knew it was inevitable that he would fired. It took three full seasons, where he led FIU to a 26-65 record, but it finally happened. Here’s the statement from FIU:“We want to thank Isiah Thomas for his three years here at...
