When did selling away NBA championship rings become a trend? Darko Milicic has decided he’s going to raffle off his. People can buy raffle tickets until May 26 of this year for a chance for the grand prize that includes Darko’s 2004 NBA Championship ring (yes, he won that with the Pistons, his “wrestling-style” belt (the one that Rasheed Wallace got for every member of that championship team), and an all-expenses paid trip to the NBA Finals this year. Hey, people can do what they want… but I would keep my championship ring unless I’m really hurting for money. Darko’s definitely not hurting for money (he got paid by David Kahn handsomely this summer) so I don’t know the reasoning behind this. Nevertheless… this is real nice of Mr. Milicic.
