DeMar DeRozan seems to be getting his money’s worth now with the Toronto Raptors. After agreeing to a four-year, $40 million extension with the Raptors before taking on the Indiana Pacers Wednesday night in the team’s season-opener, DeRozan looked to show the fans why he deserved the money. He showed that in the second quarter when the 23-year-old threw down a nasty alley-oop as the Pacers didn’t even see it coming. DeRozan just ran and cut across the back to get the wide-open pass from Kyle Lowry to get the dunk, cutting Toronto’s deficit to 42-41 at the time. Forward DeMar DeRozan agreed to a contract extension with the Toronto Raptors, ESPN.com reported. The deal, which beat Wednesday deadline for renegotiating contracts for future free agents, was for $40 million over four years. ESPN also reported incentives could increase the contract to $46 million. Last season, DeRozan averaged 16.7 points and 3.3 rebounds for Toronto.
