Celtics Green ...a boston celtics blog.:
What is the first thing the comes to mind when you hear Boston Celtics? What players do you think of when you hear Boston Celtics? What team do you think of when you hear they are a rivalry to Celtics?
The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear the Boston Celtics is championships. The players I think of are Larry Bird, John Havelick, Bill Russell, Red Auerbach, Bob Cousy, Sam Jones, Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, and more. A lot of people think of 17 banners raised in the TD garden. When I hear the word rivalry I think of Los Angeles Lakers. The Celtics went through a rough stretch back then. The organization did not win a championship in 21 years.
The Celtics are an organization with a lot of class and pride. The players sacrifice things because they all have one goal is common which is championships. It has been a 5 years since the Celtics won a championship. The Celtics never give up when they are down by a lot of points. Celtics vs New York Knicks, it was game 6 and they were down by a lot and made a huge run to bring the game back to single digits, but the Knicks prevailed and won.
The Celtics have faced a lot of adversity in the 2012-13 season. There was a lot of rumors, Injuries, and rotation changes. The Celtics are a team that love to prove the NBA analysts wrong because they always pick against the Celtics. For example, 2011-12 season, the Celtics faced the Miami heat in the ECF and a lot of people picked them to get swept or only win one game, but they made it a seven game series and the Heat one.
The Celtics are team that feeds off the crowd a lot. When the Celtics lost game 6 in 2012 vs the Heat, the crowd was chanting "Lets Go Celtics". This organization means a lot to fans because they do things differently. There are 3 slogans that a lot of fans say: Lets Go Celtics. I Bleed Green. I Die Green.

The Boston Celtics announced their 2013 Summer League roster this week.
Kelly Olynyk, Colton Iverson, Fab Melo, Darius Jonson-Odom and Phil Pressey headline the team.
Don’t expect major moves July 11th but before
preseason Ainge will make a number (maybe a lot) of minor/moderate moves to
both consolidate the roster and lower salary.
I’ve been driving myself to distraction looking at the roster and moves
of other teams to assess who might need a power forward or shooting guard—no
more. I’m going to wait for a week and
let the free agent...

While the hiring of Brad Stevens as their next head coach was widely perceived around the league as a good move by the Celtics, the question of how Rajon Rondo would react to the news still lingered. Despite reports that things got heated sometimes, Doc Rivers and Rondo still had a tight bond and a good relationship overall. So how will Rondo, who remains the centerpiece of the team’s...

WALTHAM, Mass. — When the Celtics announced via news release on Wednesday that they had hired Brad Stevens as their head coach, half the basketball-watching world was stunned by the hire. The other half was more stunned the Celtics were able to keep such press-stopping news a secret.

WALTHAM, Mass. — When Danny Ainge first called Brad Stevens last Wednesday to gauge his interest in coaching the Celtics, Stevens ended the conversation by hanging up the phone, wide-eyed and in disbelief.

In a rebuilding year such as this upcoming season, player development is key, and Summer League is a great opportunity for players to showcase their skills. WALTHAM, Mass. – From the outside looking in, the shocking and unexpected announcement made Wednesday that Brad Stevens was bolting Butler University to become the new head coach of the Boston Celtics may have led some to believe that the decision — at least on the Celtics’ end — was made out of the blue and, perhaps, too quickly.
After all, when team president of basketball...

According to a report from Wealthx.com, Kobe Bryant unsurprisingly has the highest net worth in the NBA at $220 million. Endorsements throughout 15 years in the NBA from adidas, Sprite, McDonalds, Upper Deck and Spalding, Nike, Coca-Cola and most recently Turkish Airlines will certainly lead to that kind of success.
Kevin Garnett ($190M), LeBron James ($130M), Tim Duncan ($100M...
