Found November 20, 2012 on Celtics Life:
There has been an air of negativity around the Celtics recently, due to their high expectations and slow start. The Celtics are currently 6-5, and 4th in the Atlantic Division, which we have ruled since the start of the Kevin Garnett era. We are ranked 22nd in defense, 30th in OREB%, and simply just look bad right now. But here is something I want to say: Do not forget we are missing one of our most important players, and a critical piece to our dreams of contention. What, or should I say who, is this critical piece? Why none other than our Avery Bradley. Avery Bradley was drafted by the Celtics in the 2010 NBA Draft at the 19th spot, to little fanfare. While Avery was one of the most highly touted HS prospects in the country, he struggled in college at Texas and his stock dropped. He had a very up-and-down rookie season, where he showed flashes of potential (Like this game). Nothing really came of it though, and he entered his sophomore season with reserved expectations. What hap...

Avery Bradley plans on coming back even better than before

WEEI has a nice new piece on Avery Bradley where the young guard has used his time off to improve as a player. Considering he was nominated for NBA player of the month honors prior to his shoulder injury, and improved AB could be a pretty deadly thing. "I think even though I'm not playing, you can definitely get better because I'm getting my body stronger," he...

Bradley looking to pick up the slack at point guard

We’re eleven games into the season and the Celtics still really haven’t figured out who their backup point guard is. While the Celtics have two versatile combo-guards in Terry or Barbosa, both are more adept at creating for themselves rather than others, so it’s no surprise Rondo is averaging a career high 38 MPG. Avery Bradley hopes that when he returns he can help fill that...

Avery Bradley will come back better… stronger… faster

Dating myself with a Six Million Dollar Man reference?  You bet your ass I am.  My favorite part about that open is their “technology” in the mid-70′s is dwarfed by most “get it free with a contract” smart phones. One year ago, we were “optimistic” there’d be an NBA season.  We were not “optimistic” that Avery Bradley would make much of an impact with this...

Garnett Improves Celtics' Defense By 19.6 Points

The Celtics allow 94.6 points per 100 possessions when Kevin Garnett plays and 114.2 when he is on the bench.

Top 10 Assists of the Week

Talk about ironic. In the top 10 assists of the week, there isn't one assist from the league's assist leader. However, #2 belongs to Kevin Garnett. Good stuff and fun to watch. [Discuss on CG Forums!]

Kevin Garnett, Celtics’ Big Men Should Not Shoulder All Blame for Rebounding, Defensive Struggles

BOSTON — Size and rebounding seem to go together naturally. Taller people are closer to the rim, so when the basketball clanks off the iron, those people would figure to have the best chance at grabbing the errant shot. It is not always that simple, of course, otherwise relatively undersized frontcourt players like Elvin Hayes, Wes Unseld, Dave Cowens and Charles Barkley would...

Celtics Live Blog: Kevin Garnett, C’s Hit Up Motown to Play Struggling Pistons

8 a.m. ET: These Pistons are redefining the nickname, “Bad Boys.” Through 10 games, the Pistons are really bad. They lost their first eight games and followed up their first win of the season with a loss to the rebuilding Magic. Greg Monroe is still an improving young big man, but once-key players like Rodney Stuckey and Will Bynum have continued their fall toward irrelevance...

KG is still the defensive captain

Zach Lowe/Grantland The Boston Celtics are significantly better on defense with Kevin Garnett on the floor. The Celtics allow 94.6 points per 100 possessions when Garnett plays and 114.2 when he is on the bench. The 19.6 point gap runs the spectrum from a defense amongst the NBA's best to worst. Even by using just the eyeball test, it's easy to see KG is still the defensive...

Why Didn't the Boston Celtics Try and Sign Tim Duncan

teammates? Ok, I know, there was no chance of the Boston Celtics signing Tim Duncan last offseason. He is a Spur for life and will probably go down as the best power forward to ever play this game (Kevin Garnett has a thing or two to say about that). Tim Duncan and Greg Popovich are the Tom Brady and Bill Belichick of the NBA, constant winners and always in contention. But all that...

What We Learned From Latest BCS Standings

Tim Heitman, US PRESSWIRE Follow @Dan Vasta and like Gridiron Grit on Facebook The BCS Standings have once again been released and there are just two more weeks left in the season for Kevin Garnett to shout out, “anything is possible!” How things can change on the drop of a hat, and all of a sudden all of those what if scenarios have come true. I have been hammering it home...

Comments from the Other Side - Pistons 11/18

The Celtics did their best last night to give these poor Pistons fans something to cheer about.  However, they were so busy waiting for a collapse that they couldn't enjoy it.   And what's a CFTOS without a wheelchair mention and complaints about the refs.  Although, they do admit that they got their share of the calls too.  Enjoy today's Comments.... We can only...

Celtics Locker Room Video: Doc Rivers Says Offensive Rebounding is the Least of the Celtics’ Worries

The Celtics lost to the San Antonio Spurs 112-100 tonight, being out-rebounded in the offensive glass by six to one. Doc Rivers, though, said he could not care less about the offensive rebounding numbers. Kevin Garnett, who finished the game with 14 points and three rebounds, had a few things to say about rebounding, too. [...]

Celtkicks: Inside Sneaker Con New York

I love sneakers, and I’ve been called a sneaker-head, but I learned this past weekend that I’m nowhere near the sneaker-head that has come to define the recent explosion in sneaker collecting. I am to true sneaker-heads what the occasional pot smoker is to Charlie Sheen.  I love my kicks, and I can’t resist impulse purchases when I see something I like.  But I wear my sneakers...

Celtics Locker Room Video: Rondo Talks About His 20-Assists Night

While the Celtics took care of business and beat the Toronto Raptos 107-89, Rajon Rondo piled up the 6th 20-assists game of his career. The C’s point-guard, though, had very little to say about it. Kevin Garnett, on the other hand, was not as shy and said he has never seen anyone “control the floor” [...]
