Suns guard Goran Dragic turned in a command performance Saturday, scoring 28 points to lead host Slovenia past Greece 73-65 to reach the Eurobasket quarterfinal round. Dragic, who scored Slovenias first 11 points, made half of his 18 field-goal attempts, handed out four assists and took five rebounds. Dragic, who will attempt to push his team past Finland on Monday, hadnt exactly been lighting up the tournament competition. Through seven games, Dragic is shooting just 39.4 percent, including a chilling 25.8 percent from 3-point range. Hes sixth in scoring at 17 points per game and fifth in assists at 5. Dragic could receive a serious challenge from Finland star Petteri Koponen, who was the 30th overall pick (Philadelphia 76ers) in the 2007 NBA Draft. Like Dragic, Koponen nicknamed The General -- leads his team in scoring, assists and steals. The Dallas Mavericks currently hold the NBA rights to the 6-foot-4 point guard. Suns center Marcin Gortat, who was unable to lift Poland past pool play, leads Eurobasket shot-blockers with an average of 2 over his five games. Recently acquired center Slava Kravtsov, coming off the bench for Ukraine, is eighth in blocked shots at 1.4.
