That NBA Lottery Pick:
After one year with the Los Angeles Lakers, center Dwight Howard will now be playing with the Houston Rockets and recently, he took some time to talk to Turner Sports Rachel Nichols about his time in LA.
One question that Rachel asked was his saddest moment as a Laker and Dwight brought up the time that he got hit in the face with a replica jersey by a Lakers fan:
Dwight Howard tells his saddest moment with the Lakers [Bleacher Report]
BEST OF MAXIM
A lot of civic pride gets wrapped up into these things we call NBA teams. Maybe that is why we get so emotional when players leave because it is like they are betraying the entire city.
That is something Dwight Howard knows having left Orlando after eight years and Los Angeles after one tumultuous year.
Yet, he is Houston's now and the city is embracing him as the conquering...
The struggling Dallas Mavericks are better off after missing out on
Dwight Howard, according to owner Mark Cuban.
The funny part isn’t the kid, it is the white dude in the back screaming….
“WHO GOT DWIGHT HOWARD!!!”
Hakeem Olajuwon at 50-years-old might be too old to lace up and play for the Rockets, but that doesn't mean he isn't willing to do all he can to bring another NBA championship back to Houston.
Olajuwon will rejoin the Rockets in an official capacity for the first time since he last played for Houston in 2001 as a mentor to the team's interior players, or in other words...
The Dallas Mavericks will be better off in the immediate future because they missed out on Dwight Howard, allowing them to sign several other free agents, owner Mark Cuban said.
"I think we've put ourselves in a spot where we're in a better spot than we were at if we got just the one max-out deal," Cuban told ESPNDallas.com during the Mavs' summer league game...
The Houston Rockets announced on Monday that they are planning to bring back Hakeem Olajuwon for the first time since 2001 as a mentor for their interior players. We all know what that means — Olajuwom will be brought on board to work with Dwight Howard. On paper, the move sounds like a no-brainer for the Rockets. [...]
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban sure does flip-flop his stance on certain positions.
Cuban constantly gets in on the sweepstakes for the high-profile free agent of the summer, only to lose out on that player, and then claim he didn’t need him.
Cuban made reference to that point last summer, when he deemed the Mavericks inability to sign Deron Williams as a good thing.
Houston Rockets GM Daryl Morey told ESPN that he’ll be keeping his core group of players, including embattled point guard Jeremy Lin, and frustrated big man Omer Asik. Morey hinted that the main reason for keeping everyone together was that Dwight Howard and James Harden asked him to.
“The reality is James and Dwight want to play with Jeremy and Omer,” Morey said Saturday...
Dwight Howard is all about feeling wanted and loved, and the Houston Rockets are going out of their way to appease Dwight on every level.
The Houston Chronicle is reporting that the Rockets are going to hire former Rockets great Hakeem Olajuwon to work with the centers on the team.
Olajuwon will work with Howard and Omer Asik.
Olajuwon’s duties and title are being discussed, and...
The ESPYs came and went Wednesday night. It is OK if you did not notice as they are pretty meaningless and pointless. However, it is a nice bit of entertainment and occassionally a good joke comes out of it.
Mad Men actor John Hamm was this year's host and he was out throwing haymakers in his opening monologue at the NOKIA Theater in Los Angeles last night. Whether it was...
According to ESPN, after losing the Dwight Howard sweepstakes, the Lakers plan to make a run at NBA All-Star’s, LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony, in 2014 free agency.
The Los Angeles Lakers, whose plan to re-sign center Dwight Howard did not pan out this offseason, are poised to rebuild fast by focusing on the two biggest free agents of 2014 – LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony...
Andrew Wiggins was named the 2013 Gatorade High School Male Athlete of the Year.
Wiggins is the sixth basketball player to win the award in its 11-year history and the first since Brandon Knight.
"It feels pretty good to know I'm the first Canadian to get this, so it's really big for my country," he said. "I really wanted to win it."
Kevin Love, Greg Oden...
