PLAYERS: Earl Clark
TEAMS: Orlando Magic
Orlando Magic director of basketball operations/general manager Otis Smith announced earlier this afternoon that the organization has resigned former Card Earl Clark to a two-year deal. The financial terms of the deal have not been released yet. Excerpt From InsideHoops.com “Earl (Clark) is a young, athletic forward who brings a lot of energy when he comes into the game, especially at the defensive end of the floor,” said Smith.  “We are glad to have him back as a member of the Magic.” With Orlando, Clark appeared in 33 games, averaging 4.1 ppg. and 2.5 rpg. in 11.9 minpg.  He scored in double figures five times (four times with Orlando), including a career-high-tying 14 points in a career-best 26 minutes on Feb. 11 vs. New Orleans. Earl’s career seemed to be somewhat resurrected after he landed in Orlando, however he has had to play behind a number of veterans. Hopefully this is the year we see Earl reach his full potential.
