Celtics Green ...a boston celtics blog.:
Antoine Walker, who started a promising career in Boston, ended up out of the NBA and broke. His story was shared on an ESPN 30 for 30 episode. He shares in a one on one interview with Stephen A Smith how things went wrong for him. He blames bad real estate deals and a lavish lifestyle for the losses. Although much was made of his gambling debts, of the $110 million that he went through, he said that less than $1 million was lost in gambling. I remember the Pierce/Walker tandem in the early years on the Celtics and it was exciting at first. I wish Antoine the best in his life. Like Red often said, once a Celtic, always a Celtic.

After several days of drilling reminiscent of Hoosiers, Celtics.Com is reporting today that the Boston Celtics scrimmaged. All reports indicate that Doc Rivers allowed the players to run the show, as he sat back and enjoyed the beauty that is the 2012-13 Boston Celtics. Paul Pierce was excited to run a few plays that had not [...]
Avery Bradley talks about his rehab and coming back strong. He's ahead of expectations. He's begun to shoot around but no contact yet. He's been able to do walk throughs and learn the plays. Wants to play it safe so that the injury doesn't re-occur.
Great stuff from Jason Terry as he sits down with Scal and talks about his expectations for this season...
The Celtics arrived at their hotel in Turkey a few hours ago. I think the immediate plan involves some relaxation before an afternoon practice.
I’m not sure if rookie Fab Melo is enamored with his arrival in a new nation:
CSNNE’s Sherrod Blakely also shared a picture of his view:
Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo hopes to lead the 2012-’13 team to the organization’s 18th championship.
One of the central questions as the Boston Celtics kick off their 2012-’13 season is whether point guard Rajon Rondo can be the strong leader the organization expects him to become.
Rondo held workouts last month in California with most of the members of the team...
The Celtics took to the court in Istanbul again yesterday, and commenced to throw-around the ol’ pigskin. They also broke out some fresh kicks. Here we get another good look at Rajon’s new Hyperfuse 2012 p.e. in green and yellow. Enjoy the pics which are all via Sina:

Quick, name whoever's missing. Darko is obviously one of them, but we know he's either out killing someone or searching for Semih.

In September of 2007, a newly reconstructed Boston Celtics team gathered for a road trip. The post office was still processing Kevin Garnett's change of address from Minneapolis. Ray Allen still had movers packing his stuff up in Seattle. The introductions were fresh, and the team still needed to get to know each other. And this road trip they were about to embark upon was...
Above is a photo of the Celtics arriving in Turkey and heading into their first practice upon arrival. You can find a video of their arrival here. A Sherrod Blakely is reporting that Doc put his Celtics right to work once they got to Turkey. When they arrived in Turkey after an 11 hour flight, Doc put his team through an hour long practice. He wanted to keep them awake because...
The second final four matchup features two huge three-pointers at different yet equally important times. One was by The Truth, the other by Rondo. I know which one I would vote for (hint: the ECF, on the road, is far more significant).

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.
“We’re going to almost exclusively have small lineups on the floor,” Rivers said of yesterday’s practice plan. “We’re going to change them all around, so that will be fun. This is the first year we’ve...
There is not a Celtics fan alive that does not get giddy watching that. It is the single greatest play in the history of a team that has seen 17 banners raised to the rafters, and countless mind-boggling plays that made those championships a reality.
There is so much that makes this the best.
First and foremost, it is executed by one of the franchise's Gods, Larry...
