Found March 11, 2013 on Red's Army:
We often wonder what opposing teams, their beat reporters and bloggers are saying about the Celtics. Here’s a look at some enemy chatter from Oklahoma. As for his reception, I’d say the ovation he got was polite cheering. Nothing robust, nothing too noticeable. Though Collison may have stolen his thunder a bit checking in with him as the crowd roared for Nick then barely seemed to notice Green. Not sure how I feel about Jeff Green’s hair. I’m glad he’s in Boston so I don’t really have to worry too much about it. Daily Thunder Jeff Green’s performance yesterday (2-11 FG) was as tepid as the crowd’s reaction to him entering the game. I don’t get the dig on Green’s hair. As for actual basketball analysis: Where the Thunder dug in most was on Kevin Garnett, who struggled to a 5-19 finish for just 10 points. Kendrick Perkins, Nick Collison and Serge Ibaka all pressed him hard, contested him in the mid-range and kept him off the offensive glass. Perk, who obviously has a pretty unique his...

Video: Jeff Green's reverse dunk twin pack this weekend

The baseline reverse dunk is sort of becoming Jeff Green's thing of late. He had almost identical dunks the past two games and here they are for your viewing pleasure courtesy of our friend OfficialCelticsHD. Green struggled in his first return to OKC shooting only 2-11. I'm sure he'd trade this dunk for some more made shots and a victory vs. his former teammates.

Jeff Green's impressive reverse slam dunk

For the first time since being traded by the Oklahoma City Thunder, Boston Celtics forward Jeff Green returned to play in front of his former home crowd. In the third quarter of the game, Green got show the OKC faithful his old leaping ability as he soared to the rack with an impressive reverse slam dunk:

A big game from Jeff Green, and taking a look at the Bobcats historical awfulness - keys to tonight's game

When Rajon Rondo went down with his season ending torn ACL on January 25th, the Celtics were 5 games behind Atlanta, 6 games behind Brooklyn, and 6.5 games behind Chicago in the Eastern Conference standings. They caught the Hawks following Friday nights overtime win at the Garden, and now they can pull even with the Bulls if they are able to take care of business against the abysmal...

Pierce will rest- Jeff Green starts tonight

From Sean Grande: Paul Pierce (rest) will sit out tonight in Charlotte. Jeff Green will start in his place. The Celtics host Toronto tomorrow. — Sean Grande (@SeanGrandePBP) March 12, 2013 As John posted about earlier, it’s now confirmed that Jeff will indeed start tonight in Charlotte. I’d love to see him take advantage of this opportunity and have a big game. We’ll see in about 1 hour…

Cold as ice: Oklahoma City Thunder beat Boston Celtics 91-79

Jeff Green's return to Oklahoma City was less than stellar. The worst part about this afternoon’s loss was the defense.I don’t mean that the defense was bad. It was fantastic. Kevin Durant shot just 6-16 from the field. Russell Westbrook managed just 11 field goal attempts. The Thunder overall were 44% from the field and 25% from 3-point range. The Celtics were on point throughout...

Celtics-Thunder Preview

Although Jeff Green has gone through some trying times since arriving in Boston, he appears to be in a very good place ahead of his return to Oklahoma City. The Celtics are also feeling great following five straight victories, but they'll face a major challenge keeping that run going Sunday against a Thunder team that's within striking distance of the top spot in the Western...

Your Morning Dump..Where All Is Not Lost

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump. We could harp on the bad — and there was plenty of it, like the 19 turnovers, the poor shot selection, Jeff Green’s dud in his first trip back to Oklahoma City, Kevin Garnett’s off shooting night and a poor...

Perkins could rejoin Boston if he is amnestied by OKC this summer

Kendrick Perkins could be back in green next year. The Boston Globe's Gary Washburn was on 98.5 The Sports Hub's Toucher and Rich today (via @CelticsTown and CBSBoston) talking about how there are rumors circulating that the former Celtics big man could be amnestied by the Oklahoma City Thunder after this season ends. His contract is kind of an anchor at this point. He...

Bradley, Green and Rondo could lead the Celtics into a new era?

Rondo and Bradley form a talented but undersized backcourt. The title of this post might have you questioning my sanity, which might be justified, but hear me out. Rajon Rondo, Avery Bradley, and Jeff Green all play important positions in today's NBA which does not emphasize post play. They all have the ability to play the type of intense defense (even Rondo) that would make...

Celtics Don't Give Up, Lose to Thunder

The Boston Celtics lose to the Thunder, 91 to 79. Paul Pierce had 20 points along with 6 assists and 4 rebounds. Kevin Garnett shot very poorly, 5 for 18 from the field. Kevin Durant got 11 free throws to go for 23 points. My boy Jeff Green though had another MONSTER SLAM. I feel like we could have won this game, we never gave up and we continued to fight. The Celtics were an 11...

Celtics and Lakers eerily similar wins of late; NBA Finals destiny?

We'll see you again soon? On Wednesday in Indiana the Celtics trailed by as many as 14 points to the Pacers, but went on a very impressive 11-0 run over the final 4:35 of the 4th quarter in order to complete their come from behind 83-81 victory.  Shortly thereafter the Lakers closed out their game in New Orleans with a 20-0 run over the last 6:47.  They knocked off the Hornets...

Celtics Soar Back to Boston: Get Important Win Over the Hawks!

The Boston Celtics have been soaring through their schedule the past week and more importantly have been walking away with much needed wins. The scenario was no different Friday night back in Boston where they went into an overtime thriller with the Atlanta Hawks before coming away with the 107-102 win! The win must have been especially gratifying for Coach Doc Rivers who had a long...
