The freak injuries keep coming for Kevin Love. The Minnesota Timberwolves power forward did not practice on Saturday after getting poked in the eye in the second half of the team's 99-93 win over the Thunder on Thursday. It was the team's first practice since that game, and Love will not travel to New York for Sunday's game against the Knicks.Love broke two metacarpals in his right hand on Oct. 17, missing the first nine games of the Timberwolves' season. He suffered a contusion on his right thumb Dec. 14 in New Orleans, and he missed the next night's game because of flu-like symptoms. Love also played through illness in late November. On Thursday against Oklahoma City, Love had arguably his best performance of his season, scoring 28 points on 45 percent shooting, including 4-of-9 from long range. He finished three assists short of a triple-double, with 11 rebounds. Also Saturday, Brandon Roy participated in his first full practice since his Nov. 19 knee surgery. Roy had an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee after he experienced sustained pain since bumping it during a preseason game on Oct. 26.It's uncertain at this point whether Amare Stoudemire, who's returning from a knee injury, will be ready to play Sunday against Minnesota for the Knicks.
