The very same Fab Melo that lit up the D-League and gloriously watched from the Celtics bench, is being dangled by Danny Ainge as possible trade bait.
In pursuit of guard help, the Celtics have made rookie center Fab Melo available in trade offers, league sources tell Y! Sports.

A couple months ago, Fab Melo was all the rage after doing some great things with the Maine Red Claws. See the below.
Video: Fab Melo scores 14 points (6 dunks) in Red Claws' victory over the Mad Ants
Video: Full highlights of Fab Melo's 14 block triple double night
Ok now this is getting a bit ridiculous - Fab Melo puts up 32/9/9 for Red Claws
Video: Fab Melo's 32 point, 9 rebound, and 9 block game
He got some garbage time play and didn't exactly do much of the same. He's still what everyone thought he was, a project. The fact that he's being dangled probably alludes to maybe some desperation from Ainge to try and get a deal done.

Tough tough decisions for Danny Ainge up in Boston. There were offers on the table for KG, more specifically: DeAndre Jordan and Eric Bledsoe from the Clippers.
