Knicks 106 Hawks 104
Tonight the New York Knicks held off an Atlanta team that was on their heels and hungry for a win. Carmelo Anthony had 42 points and carried the Knicks to a gut check win 106-104 to move their win total to 27-15. This win was just that, a WIN, however New York struggled defensively all night, as Jeff Teague torched them most of the game.
From a young age, Allonzo Trier has enjoyed national spotlight. In elementary school, he shot a PowerAde commercial with Carmelo Anthony, and that same year, had a feature story on him in the New York Times. He had become a nationally known name in basketball circles, because of the potential for the player that he might become. Years later, that potential is coming to fruition...
Carmelo Anthony tied a franchise record with nine 3-pointers, then converted a go-ahead, three-point play with 12.5 seconds left to cap a 42-point night and lead the New York Knicks to a 106-104 victory over the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday.
The Hawks shot a season-high 60 percent from the field but had their three-game winning streak snapped when Josh Smith, burned on Anthony's...
Post Game Recap
Final Score: Hawks: 104 Knicks: 106
The Knicks looked like a totally different team from the one that got blown out in Philadelphia last night in beating the Hawks tonight. There was a lot more effort and better effectiveness from the players, but there was still some glaring deficiencies that will need to be worked on as the Knicks continue their path to the...
As we approach the All-Star break, let’s take a look back at the top highlights from 2012-13, a season we can all agree has been some crazy ride:
2-0 vs. Miami:
The Knicks announced loud and clear that they are the biggest threat to the Heat with two blow-out victories over the defending champs. Their 104-84 and 112-92 wins, the latter minus Carmelo Anthony, is the biggest reason...
Danny Ainge is saying he hasn't decided what he's going to do with the Celtics. It was looking unlikely that the Celtics would be able to contend this season without a major trade. Now with Rajon Rondo out for the year Ainge has to decide whether adding a band aid for the season and hoping to make the 2nd round of the playoffs is the best strategy or if the team should go...
Was going to wait until tomorrow to post this, but the hell with it. I love this video from Golden Hoops. This is a short clip entitled “Kevin Garnett: The Love For the Game”. It has the perfect blend of video & audio to capture the intense emotion and unwavering spirit of the man known as The Big Ticket.

Kevin Garnett: 24 Points, 10 Rebounds
Kevin Garnett gave us a great performance tonight, and it was unfortunately wasted. He rebounded well, shot well, and was only slowed down by fouls/minutes. He got gassed at the end, and his last two fouls were stupid...
A torn ACL is a death sentence to any athlete. When a star in the league suffers that gruesome injury, all you can do is feel for them. It is a helpless feeling being that player, especially when they believe it is only a minor injury. That was the case for Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo, after he thought he had only hyperextended his knee during Boston’s double overtime loss...
BOSTON — Kevin Garnett was trying to offer consolation. He wanted to calm everyone in the wake of the devastating news that Rajon Rondo would miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL in his right knee, and reassure anyone who would listen that the Celtics are not about to panic.
In doing so, however, he offered up imagery from one of the darkest eras of Celtics basketball. The...
Miami Heat @ Boston Celtics 1:00 ET 1/27
The Celtics are in the midst of their worst losing streak (six straight) since Kevin Garnett joined the team in the 2007-08 season. As exhibited by their double-overtime loss to the Hawks on Friday night where they blew a 27-point lead, this team is finding new and creative ways to lose. The prevailing buzz states that the C’s have hit rock...
