Ray Allen said Boston fans have no reason to boo him because the Celtics gave him no choice but to leave for Miami. See why he feels that way.
Doc Rivers is pleased with the signing of Leandro Barbosa and isn't worrying about not having a traditional backup point guard like many fans, bloggers, and writers are.
“I love his speed, his ability to handle the ball. we don’t have a backup point (guard), but we have another ballhandler. Our theory is if we throw three ballhandlers out on the floor, someone can bring the...
For those of you wondering how life is treating Ray Allen down in sunny Miami, here’s last night’s game recap from the Miami Herald:
WORST OF LAST NIGHT: Ray Allen off his game
Allen went 3 of 11 from the field and 1 of 5 from three-point range. He had seven points in 22 minutes. Maybe it was just an off night; maybe Allen is still adjusting to coming off the bench. Allen was...
Ray Allen wants the world to know he’s more than a three-point shooter. He can put the ball on the floor, go to the hole, make the pass and… [wait for it] work in the post. From the Sun Sentinel:
One of the areas the Heat could possibly use Allen is in the post. It was a big part of his game during the early portion of his career before he became identified mostly as a jump-shooter...
Celtics fans finally got to see some great hoops last night as the C’s outlasted the Nets 115-85 in Brooklyn. One of the hot topics on Twitter was Jeff Green’s choice of kicks. He wore the Volt/Gorge Green Nike Hyperfuse 2012 seen in Jose3030′s pic above. If so inclined, you can cop a pair now on Eastbay. Enjoy some pics & GIFs from the game courtesy of Hoop China &...
After starting slow and sluggish, the Celtics used a 24-9 run to close out the first half and never looked back. The Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire-less Knicks jumped out to a 28-15 first quarter lead against the KG and Paul Pierce-less Celtics and actually led by as many as 19. Jeff Green led all Celtics with 25 points (10-16 FG, 3-5 3FG, 2-2 FT) and also had 6 rebounds...
I think Scal was the first person I heard who compared Jeff Green to Laker great James Worthy. Then it kind of caught on because I heard both Mike and Tommy make those comparisons. And fans were starting to make the comparison on a regular basis. Then he dunked on Jason Kidd and we got the comparison again.
But Jeff didn't like being compared to James Worthy without Worthy...
Welcome to the first edition of the Celtics Green Weekly Recap. In
this first installment, we will examine the highs and lows of the previous week
and summarize the overall state of Celtics Nation. We will also take a quick
look at news around our favorite league, and maybe throw in a bit of fun stuff
Let’s get started:
Preseason blues: The start...
Jeff Green scored 25 points and the Boston Celtics came back from an early 20-point deficit to beat the New York Knicks 109-98 on Saturday night in a preseason game.
Kris Joseph's consecutive three-point plays to open the fourth quarter, part of a 24-4 stretch, gave Boston its first lead since the 7:34 mark of the first quarter.
Jason Terry added 22 points for the Celtics ...

ATLANTA Austin Rivers' arms are extended, palms facing the Phillips Arena rafters.
He doesn't trust himself. He's thinking too much, over-contemplating the cuts and screens that serve a greater purpose in his new role with the New Orleans Hornets. His coach, Monty Williams, notices as well. Following his team's 97-68 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, Williams tersely answered...
CELTIC fans are you ready for some BASKETBALL!
With the NBA PRE-season being well underway, so are the critics and the naysayers. The Celtics PRE-season record is 1-4 after Tuesday nights loss to Brooklyn putting them in last place in the Atlantic Division. While many are optimistic for the 2012-13 NBA Celtic Season after last years heroic Eastern Conference/NBA Championship run...
We got a look at the future tonight and it was fun. Doc sat KG, Pierce to rest them since they have another game tomorrow night and the young guys got a lot of run in this game.
Doc started Rondo, Lee, Green, Sully and Collins with Melo, Terry, Kurz, Downs, and Joseph playing off the bench. The Knicks also sat their stars with Melo, Amare and Chandler all sitting this one out...
