The 10-time All Star averaged 6.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists this past season for the Knicks, his only in New York. “Jason’s value to the Knicks and the National Basketball Association cannot be quantified by statistics alone,” Knicks general manager Glen Grunwald said. “Everyone here in New York saw firsthand what a tremendous competitor he is and why Jason is considered to be one of the best point guards, and leaders, the game has ever seen.” Photo Courtesy of SJND. The announcement ends a 19-year career that is sure to land Kidd in the Basketball Hall of Fame. He finishes second to John Stockton in career assists (12,091) and steals (2,684) and was named to ten All Star teams as well as six All NBA Team selections. Jason Kidd retired on Monday after 19 seasons. He’s an NBA champion, a two-time Olympic gold medalist, a 10-time all-star, a future hall of famer and, of course, a local product. He’ll go down as one of the greatest all-around point guards to ever play the game. Mavs' Cuban Contacts Retiring Kidd

Mark Cuban’s public stance on Jason Kidd’s retirement? Silence. His private stance? 'Cube reached out and sent me a nice note,' Kidd tells 105.3 The Fan. 'Cube is one of, if not the, best owner in sports. We were lucky to be with him when we won that championship.' And maybe, if the ice thaws, both sides can consider themselves lucky to reunite?

Hill was the first heir apparent to Michael Jordan (not counting the overhyped Harold "Baby Jordan"...

Top Five Point GAWDS in the Association

With Jason Kidd announcing his retirement from the NBA earlier today, I figured it was only right to compile this list. While Kidd was a shell of himself during the 2012-13 season, he will go out as one of the greatest to do ever do it as his position. Second all time in career assists and steals behind only John Stockton. Third all time in three pointers made. And Kidd’s 107...
