Found October 26, 2012 on Orange Fizz:
When the Boston Celtics selected Fab Melo in the first round of the NBA Draft, and Kris Joseph in the second round, everyone seemed to agree: Melo had more upside, but Joseph was far more NBA-ready. Four months later, that sentiment remains. Joseph had to scrap to make the Celtics regular season squad, while Melo had a guaranteed contract from the start. But now that Joseph officially cracked the 15-man roster, it’s the Canadian forward who will likely experience a larger taste of NBA life this season than the Brazilian center. The Fizz was there on Saturday in Albany to watch the duo square off against the Knicks in an ugly, late-preseason battle that predictably featured a heavy dose of fringe NBA talent, and little defense. But the game presented plenty of opportunities for the guys toward the end of the rosters. Joseph took advantage of the chance, while Melo failed to capitalize. In 26 minutes, Kris Jo shot 4-6 from the field, scored 13 points, drew five shooting fouls, had two...

“Green Could Be a Problem This Season”

We’ve all marveled at Jeff Green’s performance thus far in preseason. There’s been the dunks, the blocks and the all-around explosiveness. Expectations among Celtics fans are very high going into the 2012-13 season. NBA.com’s Sekou Smith also believes that Green is on the cusp of what could be a very productive year: HANG TIME HEADQUARTERS – Jeff Green never makes it...

Joseph Completes Celtics’ 15-man Roster

Kris Joseph, the Celtics’ second-round draft pick out of Syracuse, has reportedly been given the final spot on the 15-man roster after practice on Wednesday. Joseph has faced stiff competition during pre-season from the likes of Micah Downs and Rob Kurz, but the 6-foot-7 forward has been deemed the final piece of the puzzle by [...]

Kris Joseph makes the cut, officially a Celtic

Congrats to Kris Joseph who has made the Celtics opening night roster. Rookie Kris Joseph has earned the 15th and final spot on the Celtics' roster, the small forward said after Wednesday's practice. Joseph, a second-round pick out of Syracuse in the 2012 draft, said he "kind of put two and two together" when the team waived Micah Downs and Rob Kurz but said he...

Jeff Green is UNDERPAID - Yes you read that right

Despite what you've heard, this dude is actually worth $36 million Moments after Jeff Green signed his 4 year, $36 million dollar deal (official terms not released but $36 mill has been widely reported) the yelling started. “$9 million a year for a bench player! Stupid Danny.” “How can you pay that much for a guy who averages 13 and 5?” “Should’ve spent that...

Video: Kris Joseph no longer needs to eat his boogers

Now that Kris Joseph has made the Celtics roster, he can probably afford more substantial food than his own boogers.

Gang Green Episode 6.3

With Dave on Paternity Leave, Stats stepped in to Co- Host… and he’s one of the few Celtics fans still down on Jeff Green.  The rest of the show gets into Ray Vs. Rondo, Bass Vs. Sullinger and the gang’s season predictions. Congrats on the baby, Dave, and enjoy the show!

Jeff Green eager to show Celtics what he can do

Jeff Green is finally getting the chance to show the Celtics what he can do, and they're impressed. Green came to Boston in the trade that sent Kendrick Perkins to Oklahoma City, a deal that broke up the starting lineup of the 2008 NBA champions. But Green had trouble finding his role in his first half-season and then he missed all of last season after a physical exam revealed...

Leandro Barbosa tweets a pic of the Bro-Zilians

I think it was decided that the Brazilian duo of Leandro Barbosa and Fab Melo would be referred to as the Bro-Zilians on this website. But anyways, the team chemistry is strong between these two. Can anyone confirm Barbosa's claim that they are the first Brazilian teammates in NBA history? Imagine if we somehow get Nene in the future. Barbosa also tweeted a picture of his new...

Rondo’s play attracted Jeff Green to resign with Celtics

The Celtics ran a three-hour practice this afternoon in which every player except Avery Bradley participated (note: Wilcox, Darko, and Barbosa all joined in).  Nice to see everyone play together and build chemistry as the Celtics prepare for their opener less than a week away. Also, Jeff Green dropped this gem of a quotation when asked why he chose to resign with the boys from Boston...

Video: Molly interviews newest Celtic Leandro Barbosa

Barbosa says it's a dream come true to be on the Celtics and he's not concerned about playing time. Funniest part was when Barbosa said that he and fellow countryman Fab Melo "talk a lot of Brazilian" together. Video courtesy of the Boston Celtics.

Jeff Green, Jared Sullinger, Other Offseason Additions Should Improve Celtics' Already Effective Passing Game

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Doc Rivers never had any problem convincing his players to share the ball last season, as evidenced by the Celtics' league-leading assist percentage. When the passing game would break down -- which was more often than Rivers liked -- the difficulty was a problem of execution, rather than intent. Almost to a man, last year's Celtics...

Depth To Drive Celtics Success

All eyes are on the dynamic Jeff Green to become a major contributor for the Celtics in 2012 Too old.  Broken down.  These are just a few of the phrases used by many when discussing whether or not the Boston Celtics have enough juice in the tank to make another run at the NBA title. Even with the departure of the aging Ray Allen, who “took his talents to South Beach” via free...

The Celtics' 15th Man

On Wednesday, the Celtics notified Kris Joseph that he earned the 15th, and final, roster spot. Joseph is the last man standing from a group of Camp invitees that included Dionte Christmas, Jamar Smith, Rob Kurz and Micah Downs. Christmas became a fan favorite and also was close to Jason Terry, but was waived to make room for Leandro Barbosa's signing. News surfaced today...

Celtics' mission is to kill whoever they're against

Those are not my words, they are Jet's, quoted and slightly paraphrased from a wonderfully written Grantland piece by Amos Barshad. Are you somehow still not psyched about Jason Terry? Do you have questions about Celtics' spirit before the season starts? Please read that article and get psyched. (Also, it will probably feel quite refreshing after reading items in which Allen...
