With the previous busy day being had in Portland today and their Coach firing (MCMillan), and two trades, (Marcus Camby and Gerald Wallace) being shipped out what nobody realized is that there are now extra bodies in RIP City.
Enter Mehmet Okur, Shawne Williams, Hasheem Thabeet and Jonny Flynn.
Portland's roster is sitting at 17 players. Two guys need to be released so that Portland is at the maximum of 15 players.
We've found out via Joe Freeman of The Oregonian on his Twitter account...

The Trail Blazers have waived center Greg Oden, ending the former No. 1 overall pick's disappointing career in Portland.
Oden was limited to just 82 games by injuries since the Blazers took him over Kevin Durant with the first selection in the 2007 draft. He recently underwent his third microfracture knee surgery, the second on his left to go with one on the right.
Marcus Camby was slightly frustrated after watching Raymond Felton commit yet another turnover. In great tackling form he took out his frustrations on poor Landry Fields. Being down by 30 points early in the third probably didn’t make matters any better.
