While we applaud Greg Oden's interest and activism in politics, his rationale is a bit hard to comprehend and relate to. He alludes to "young people like him," but how many young people do you know "like him?" 7' 20-year olds who were #1 overall picks in the NBA draft and sign $20-some-million contracts with no degree or professional work experience. And for a guy who won't have to worry about health care for some time and one that simply made the obligatory NBA-mandated stop over in college, does anyone else scratch their heads when he says, "Topics like education and healthcare are very important to me."?
