Zach Randolph scored 25 points and grabbed 16 rebounds and the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Utah Jazz 99-86 on Saturday night to halt a three-game losing streak. The win was Memphis' first in Salt Lake City since an overtime victory on Jan. 24, 2007, as the Grizzlies had dropped nine straight in Utah until Saturday. The Grizzlies outscored Utah 28-10 in the third quarter to turn a 10-point halftime deficit into a 72-64 lead entering the fourth. The Jazz shot just 15 percent (3 of 20) in the quarter after shooting 56.4 percent at halftime. Al Jefferson led Utah with 21 points. Paul Millsap added 12 and Gordon Hayward 11 for the Jazz (13-12), who have lost two straight. Memphis held a 48-35 advantage on the boards, including an 18-7 edge on the offensive end. Marc Gasol added 16 points for Memphis (15-6), including nine in the decisive third. The Jazz got within four points on DeMarre Carroll's 3-pointer with 10:30 remaining. JaVale McGee catches Randolph shot

JaVale McGee blocked a whole lot of Grizzly shots — four of ‘em, to be specific — in Denver’s 99-94 victory over Memphis on Friday night.  They were all pretty spectacular, but there was one that… well, I don’t want to say it stood out, because that would simply be an understatement.  This particular block was profoundly different from the others.  Not just the others...

Jazz reportedly likely to trade Al Jefferson or Paul Millsap

The Utah Jazz are currently in position to make the NBA playoffs out of the Western Conference, but they reportedly are likely to make a trade that would change their roster significantly. According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Jazz will be looking to deal either Al Jefferson or Paul Millsap at some point over the next few months. Stein reports that it’s assumed throughout the league...

Randolph, Memphis beat Jazz to halt skid

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Zach Randolph scored 25 points and grabbed 16 rebounds and the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Utah Jazz 99-86 on Saturday night to halt a three-game losing streak. Danilo Gallinari Self Alley-Oop vs. Grizzlies (Video)

Never seen this before in the NBA.  Always just thought it was something people did in dunk contests.  Check out the video below of Danilo Gallinari throwing a self alley-oop off the backboard last night against the Memphis Grizzlies. Honestly didn't think Gallinari had anything like that in him.  Usually I hate on Euro basketballers (mainly for their bad hair cuts...

JaVale McGee blocks Zack Randolph's shot, catches it (Video)

In another edition of amazing things that Denver Nuggets center JaVale McGee can do, he pulled off the first catch block that I've seen in NBA history.During last night's Denver Nuggets/Memphis Grizzlies affair, Zach Randolph appeared to have an open look at a jumper. That open look turned into a JaVale McGee block in mere seconds:

JaVale McGee blocks Zach Randolph's jump shot by catching it (Video)

Denver Nuggets forward JaVale McGee blocked a jump shot from Memphis Grizzlies forward Zach Randolph by simply grabbing it out of the air and catching it during the fourth quarter of Friday night's NBA game at the Pepsi Center. The play by McGee started a Nuggets fast break which was finished by a Ty Lawson layup. McGee finished with 9 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocked...

Grizzlies-Jazz Preview

The Memphis Grizzlies are on their longest slide of the season, and concluding this three-game road trip against the Utah Jazz doesn't seem to be the ideal way to solve it. The Grizzlies attempt to snap their skid by winning in Salt Lake City for the first time in almost six years Saturday night. Memphis (14-6) has dropped four of six games this month and three in a row following...

Grizzlies 80, Bulls 71

Mike Conley had 17 points, Zach Randolph added 10 points and 15 rebounds and the Memphis Grizzlies overcame a poor start to beat the Chicago Bulls 80-71 on Monday night. Conley was 6 of 12 from the field and had four assists. Rudy Gay had 12 points for Memphis but shot 5 of 13, continuing his slump. Wayne Ellington scored all 11 of his points in the second quarter, when the Grizzlies...

Memphis Grizzlies hire ESPN columnist

For the past eight years John Hollinger has been covering the NBA for ESPN.com.  He's now leaving his job as a coloumnist to be apart of the league he has covered since his online career began in 1996. Hollinger has accepted a position from the Memphis Grizzlies to become their vice president of basketball operations, reports ESPN. Hollinger is known for devising the formula...
