Yesterday was the first day for any of the former North Carolina Basketball players to show off their stuff at the next level as the NBA Summer League began its games in Las Vegas. One of the first day’s game had the Warriors taking on the Lakers, as Golden State put on the court Harrison Barnes, their first round pick from this past draft after signing him earlier this week. Without a doubt it’s safe to say that the former Tar Heel did not disappoint anyone that watched him play in this one, leading me to once again say that he will be a much better pro than he was a college player. In what was a blow out for the Warriors, who took this one 90 to 50 over a Lakers team that did not look like it was meant to be on the floor, Barnes ended with 23 points (8 for 13 ~ 4 for 4 ~ 3 for 5) to go with two rebounds and a steal in about 25 and a half minutes of playing time and with a points differential of +34.
