Udonis Haslem is on the cusp of Heat history.
He enters Wednesday night's game against Milwaukee two rebounds away from passing Alonzo Mourning for Miami's all-time lead in that department.
Mourning grabbed 4,807 rebounds in 593 regular-season games with the Heat. Haslem is at 4,806 rebounds after 605 games.
Haslem has come a long way.
When he was trying to make the Miami Heat take notice of him a decade ago, assistant coach Keith Askins gave him one piece of unforgettable advice.
Askins told Haslem that everyone in the NBA can score, but not everyone rebounds.
Haslem took the hint and decided to make rebounding - a chore he didn't always embrace in college - a priority.
He made the team. And now, here he is 10 years later.

MIAMI Dwyane Wade is a 10-year veteran who turned 30 earlier this year. He just wrote a book about the responsibilities of parenthood.
But Wade said he still makes mistakes.

The Heat are coming off of their second title in the last six years, but instead of having Dwayne Wade and Shaquille O’Neal, they had Wade, Chris Bosh and Lebron James. It is no surprise that they were the champions, as they simply have the league’s top core and surrounded their superstar triumvirate with a fabulous group of role players. However, the Heat have actually improved...

Eddie House had one of those unforgettable nights for Arizona State a dozen years ago, paying back California for not recruiting him by torching them for 61 points.

The result was a 6-0 start in the extra session and a 113-106 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. The Heat (9-3) improved to...
