The Atlanta Hawks could use a boost, but they did not get it from Anthony Morrow last night.  The Hawks lost to the Boston Celtics 89-81 as Morrow missed his fifth straight game.  The Hawks' guard has been battling a sore hip and will continue to be listed as day-to-day. The Hawks have been banged up with injuries to Morrow, Devin Harris, and DeShawnn Stevenson.  The team hopes to get Morrow back soon, but it will all depend on how his hip responds to practice.  Atlanta plays Tuesday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.  Morrow will likely be a game-time decision for that match-up. Morrow is averaging 5.5 points per game and 1.0 rebound per game.  He averages 13.2 minutes per game, but he could be used more frequently right now with the injuries the Hawks are facing.  Atlanta is 20-12 and pushing forward for a potential playoff spot.  If injuries do not derail them, they are on pace to grab one of the top-five spots. Atlanta Hawks GM Danny Ferry Fined $15,000 For Being A Tattle Tale

Atlanta Hawks GM Danny Ferry picked up one of the sillier fines this NBA season today, for essentially snitching on Rajon Rondo. The Celtics point guard bumped referee Rodney Mott during Saturday night’s 89-81 win over the Hawks — a game the Hawks led by 19 at one point, by the way — and after the game, Ferry decided to pass along video of Rondo’s faux pas. One problem: he...

Comments from the Other Side - Hawks 1/5

This was a very satisfying win for the Celtics.  I love it when there are a lot of Celtics fans in opposing buildings.  Atlanta seems to be the best for that.   Lots of Josh Smith hate.  I'm not really sure why Celtics fans are ready to give up a ton to get this guy when the fans that watch him night in and out don't like him.   A fun game and some fun comments. ...

Hawks Feel Double The Heartbreak

One of the major storylines of the early NBA season has been the steady success of the new look Atlanta Hawks (20-12), but back-to-back demoralizing losses has coach Larry Drew a little concerned about his team. The Hawks once trailed Detroit by 19, only to rally and close the game to a one-possession battle. With less than 10 seconds left in the fourth quarter, Horford (with zero 3-point makes on the season before Friday...

Hawks GM Ferry "snitches" on Rondo, gets him suspended
