MIAMI (AP) -- Dwyane Wade got hot down the stretch, and LeBron James missed a layup in the final minute.
Both were huge breaks for the Miami Heat.
James scored 28 points, Wade scored 11 of his 24 in the final five minutes -- when Miami needed him most -- and the Heat extended the NBA's longest current winning streak to 11 games, beating the Cleveland Cavaliers 109-105 in a back-and-forth matchup Sunday night.
The Heat blew a 22-point second-half lead then rallied from eight down with 5:16 left.
"We're a veteran ballclub and we've been in every situation that an NBA game can offer us," James said. "We don't get too high, we don't get too low, we just play the 48 minutes out and see where it takes us."
Dion Waiters scored 26 points, C.J. Miles added 19 and Kyrie Irving scored 17 for Cleveland, which outscored Miami by a stunning 30 points over a 17-minute stretch of the second half, yet still came up empty.
The Cavaliers are now 1-8 agains...
BEST OF MAXIM
So this video is going viral right now of LeBron James doing a pre-game dunk before last nights game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. LeBron is too scared to join the damn dunk contest, but I guess if you got to a regular season game you will get to see all you need. Check out the dunk above where he goes between his legs, then off the backboard, then jams it home with two hands...
Dwyane Wade has come up with a new nickname for himself, and at least one of his Miami Heat teammates does not approve. According to Ethan J. Skolnick of The Palm Beach Post, Wade would now like to be referred to as “WOW.”
The acronym stands for “World of Wade,” and I think LeBron James can speak for all of us in saying that it is not cool.
“It’s ‘WOW,’ Way of Wade...
MIAMI -- Dwyane Wade is usually the Miami Heat's best supporting actor. But on Oscar night, give him the award for best actor.
LeBron James, the guy who almost always gets top billing, didn't look like himself in the fourth quarter against the Cleveland Cavaliers at AmericanAirlines Arena. But that's OK because No. 3 was doubly good and sure looked like No. 6.
LeBron James posted the 35th triple-double of his career in Miami's 114-90 win over the Philadelphia 76ers Saturday night.
King James scored 16 points (7-of-12 shots), grabbed 10 boards and dished 11 assists. He added two steals and a three. His greedy fantasy owners probably bemoaned the lack of blocks.
The win was the Heat's 10th straight.

From his days at St. Vincent/St. Mary’s all the way up until now, we have seen LeBron throw down some pretty insane dunks, but this one is the best if you ask me. Enjoy!
How sick is that!? He has teased us before, but has never entered the NBA Slam Dunk Contest...

We all have wished that Miami Heat forward LeBron James would showcase his off the charts athletic abilities in a dunk contest.
While that has never actually materialized, there have always been numerous rumors that LeBron puts on a show during pregame warmups for the Heat. Check out this video of a pregame jam session in Miami. LeBron’s dunk is a jaw-dropper.
Ever since LeBron James came into the NBA in 2003 the debate has waged on. Who is better, Kobe Bryant or LeBron James? For some, it’s a matter of championships and for others it’s purely personal preference. But for NBA Hall of Famer Larry Bird, it’s all about winning.
In an interview Bird said that he would choose Kobe Bryant when asked who (Lebron James or Kobe Bryant...
