Hoops Fantasy:
Early this season, the Miami Heat looked unbeatable. After Friday’s 117-104 loss to the Denver Nuggets, the Heat have lost there straight games. While it’s not time to panic in Miami, it’s now obvious that this regular season won’t be a walk in the park for the Heat.
Ty Lawson, like he’s been doing for most of the season, led the way for the Nuggets. He had 24 points and nine assists, while shooting a perfect 9-for-9 on two-pointers. Nene chipped in 17 points, 12 rebounds and four assists.
For the Heat, LeBron James was fantastic. He totaled 35 points, six assists and five rebounds, while hitting 13-of-20 shots from the floor. However, he didn’t get much help. For example, while Chris Bosh had 17 points, he was only 6-for-15 from the floor.
Following this game, both teams are 8-4. In the West, the Nuggets are tied for the third best record. In the East, the Heat are tied for fifth.
