Mike Miller showed up Tuesday at AmericanAirlines Arena. And, no, it wasn't to say goodbye. In fact, the veteran swingman told reporters he's confident he won't be waived by the Miami Heat as part of an amnesty clause in the new collective bargaining agreement. "I've talked to both Pat and coach," said Miller, referring to Heat president Pat Riley and coach Erik Spoelstra. "They're going to handle it the way they have to and, right now, it seems like I'm pretty secure here. But I'm just going to prepare myself to get ready to play wherever it is." Miller didn't elaborate on his discussion with the two, but he remains hopeful the Heat won't be giving up on him despite more restrictive CBA rules and his Nov. 28 sports hernia surgery, which is expected to sideline him for at least four weeks.
